This is one of many Tapo products I have connected throughout my house, and just like all the others, it has great value for money spent, dependable functionality, looks just like any other outlet and is relatively easy to wire in and install. Very pleased with the outlet, just like I am with their other product lines.

I wanted to get rid of these home automation plugs that stick out the wall. This was the best solution. Very easy to install and setup. Now I can turn all normal lights on and off with automation or push of a button on my phone. Plus the outlets have a button as well. Additional pro is you see how much power was used. Also great to program a routine to know when your dishwasher, washing machine or dryer is done. As soon the app notices no more power draw it notifies me. Great quality.

Excellent, it allows control and energy consumption monitoring of connected devices.

Easy installation. Connected flawlessly, no problems. Love the individual outlet control. Loved the power usage monitor. Integrated seamlessly with my Google smart home. Only thing would make them better if they had built in surge protection or were GFCI. Almost endless usage applications.

Out of the box this looks great, well made and even ETL certified. Installation was a snap and the quality seems on par with other TP Link equipment. The buttons that control the on/off functions locally are small and can be hard to press (just like a GFCI reset/test button) but a good pensil eraser works wonders.Top tip: There was no QR Code to scan and before you install it in the wall, remove the front cover (2 small phillips screws) and take a pic of the 11 digit code for connecting this later.Disclaimer: I have not been able to connect and test the functionality of the wireless operations yet but I wanted to say this is not a "plug and play" device for those who do not have a favorite platform or are new to the home autmation game like me.Google Home: Device requires a hub, don't have one of those yet.Alexa/Echo: Device requires TP Link/TAPO IDSmart Things: Device requires TP Link/TAPO IDApple Home: Does not work if not using Apple Cloud and requires a hub.Was really hoping to not have another login to remember or have my data flowing through a company server just to have functionality... se la vie.According to the TP Link website the power monitoring will only work with the TP link App or Samsung Smart Things...More to come as I play with this.
