Very straightforward, if you read the instructions
I recently bought a fairly advanced wireless security camera for my garden. Unfortunately the location was about as far away as possible from the router, through with walls, stairs and fridge freezers in between. The camera worked fine a bit closer to the router, but when mounted on the wall it just wouldn't hold a decent signal. So I went for this wifi extender to solve the problem, and mounted it in the bedroom closest to the camera outside. Initially I just couldn't get it to work, I kept getting an authentication error. Giving up and reading the instructions identified my issue, they clearly state that the extender password must be the same as the router password. Fortunately there's a little reset button on the side of the unit, so pressing that I was able to reconnect via my mobile again, and set it up correctly, this time it worked without a hitch.I chose this particular model over other options as it has a couple of gigabit ports, so I will be having a play and plugging it into my TV (via cable as it doesn't have wifi) to get it connected without having to run a lead through to the router in the hall. This is a job for the future though, for now, it's working perfectly for what I bought it for, to extend my wifi to the side of the house where one of my cameras is mounted.

DO NOT USE CHROME!!!!!
It looked straight forward plug it in flick the switch and log in boom. but nothing sent 30min trying to sort it and give up and when to bed. Emailed the Manufacture 1 week later I got a reply simply saying do not use ChromeThat night retried with internet explore and boom easy as pie.Would have been nice to know this in the instruction!!but it does work fine and well.

Not Gigabit
Says gigabit ethernet in the description but it is not. So using it in AP mode, you will not get anything over 100mb/s. Does give good wifi signal coverage and didn't have too much trouble setting up. You can download and modify the config file if you want advanced. But disappointed in the ethernet speed as gigabit was what I was looking for.

Bad
Terrible thing. If I'm taking computer downstairs and this extender is in dead zone where he should work. Hes not working terrible. Awful thing. I was thinking it's gone work better in dead zone. Better I will buy Netgear extender I use him before. Now I have buy as well new one. Waste of money.i waste money for nothing. Almoust a year I was using this and then I change an internet that's it hes not working hes not connecting to new wifi and even cant finder him. Shet product I try all things. Still not working. Working only now by open extender that's it. Now I have to buy new one cuz this thing not working proper.

do not touch
This is just a complete nightmare to set up and use. When used as an extender the signal drops out completely and disconnects from both the router and any item that is logged onto it. The signal strength is poor and will not penetrate through more than one wall, which mine are made of brick. As a stand alone router wired direct to the main router it gets a little better, the signal is still poor but at least the dropout is less . Access to the interface once set up is nigh on impossible to access. and so any attempts to alter any settings is not going to happen unless you do a complete reset. Good luck on that one as this took me quite a few attempts as well. Pay the money and get a good one.

Very good but needs periodic restarts
Very useful range extended - helps with the wifi the awkward corners of the house. Needs to be reset from time to time, but that is not a big deal.

Does the job and does it well
I bought the extender as I wasn't getting enough coverage in our front room on the first floor as our sky router is at the back of the house on the ground floor. I have installed the extender on the first floor directly above the sky router and now I have a decent coverage throughout the first floor. One thing to note is you can only choose between 2.4GHz or 5GHz frequency, I chose 2.4GHz as I dont need the full speed. The extender does the job its suppose to and has solved my problem for a decent price. Happy to recommend.

Works well
Little bit fiddly to connect - however once connected - today with good weather has 5 bars of signal out at the end of a garden into the garage - my bros a computer geek set up - I was not sure whee to plug in!! I think it is actually quite easy - plug into the place you want the extender to reach once set up near the router - day 1 works will keep you posted on longevity.
