This looks like a fun winter break project to do with my daughter. We have ben building a fairy garden and this will be a fun addition. The pieces seem to be of good quality - not thin flimsy pieces.I will update once we build during winter break.

This kit is awesome. It comes with everything you need to build and paint a birdhouse! The wood is sturdy and all holes are pre-drilled to eliminate mistakes. It was such a hit we may have to order more for the other grandkids to build and design their own special birdhouse.

The bird house is a wonderful idea for a parent and child craft. Younger children will need adult supervision and help. The wood is decent quality and fairly easy to put together. The paint isn't the best quality, but could easily be substituted with your choice of paints. I highly recommend sealing the birdhouse, especially if you plan to put it outdoors.

I bought a a birdhouse for my daughter and had to get one for my son also, and now he's happy. This birdhouse is easy for kids to build, with minimal help from an adult. It's lightweight and has a clean out hole in the back. It comes with paint, and everything needed to put it together. Would make a good gift.

I am not in favor of decorating bird houses, since they tend to be less frequently used by the birds they're meant to help, but this is a nice kit. We simply avoided the paints after the birdhouse was built. My son was able to put it together mostly on his own (he's eleven), though he needed a little help from my husband towards the end. Whether this is meant to be a solo kit or one that kids can put together with an adult, it should still work well for most people. Good, well-cut wooden parts + clear and helpful instructions = a really nice birdhouse and a project that gives good satisfaction to the builders!

This is fantastic! It's a nice little kit for a nice little birdhouse. Very easy to put together and seems sturdy enough. All the pieces needed is included, included glue. The only reason for the minus one star was that one of the shingles pieces for the roof was broken in half so I had to use wood glue to glue the two pieces together. Overall, a nice little kit!
