I wasn't 100% sure when I ordered these if they would actually be waterproof or not. The "mesh" description made me think they'd be more of a netting/fabric type of material, but they are a sort of woven-reinforced plastic. I did run some water over the outside, and the water definitely ran right off of it like it would run off of plastic. The outside of the bags is more of a smoother plastic, and you can feel more of the "mesh" material if you feel the inside of the bag.I would say that, while the outsides of the bags are waterproof, the entire bag is not exactly waterproof since the zipper area is just regular fabric. So I wouldn't say you could use these as a dry bag in a swimming/water sports situation, and I wouldn't say you could put very wet items in here (like wet wipes or liquidy food) and expect them to be fully contained by this pouch. However, this pouch will generally resist water and other liquids, especially if the liquid is mainly hitting the main plastic part of the pouch (and not the zipper part).The zipper itself seems pretty nice. The zipper pull itself is metal (the actual zipper part is a sturdy-ish looking plastic). It's nice that the zippers are different colors so you can organize and color-code items accordingly.Overall, I'd say this is a pretty nice set for the price. They aren't anything super fancy, but they seem like they'll last quite a while with light use and will come in really handy for organizing, especially during travel.

I don’t know how I was unaware that these kind of bags existed. I ordered them on a whim and I am just amazed. Think of a cross between a canvas tool bag and a Ziploc bag that’s lightweight but strong as heck. I tried to destroy one with my bare hands and I couldn’t, they are that strong. The zippers worked really well which is important. At less than a dollar a bag I think it’s an incredible item. I don’t do a lot of five star reviews right out of the gate but these definitely deserve five stars. Definitely recommend these.

We use these pencil pouches for travel on our motorcycle. They hold essentials (credit cards, IDs, insurance papers) so that I don't have to carry a purse. I wouldn't necessarily call them "mesh" bags since the mesh is plastic and not really what I would classify as mesh. The zippers work well and don't break. I don't really need 24 of these bags, but I can easily dispose of them after each trip.

I'm loving these bags -- I'm using them to organize journaling stickers and they're the perfect size. I like the they have different colors and labels, so I can create a system for different themes. These bags would also be perfect for pencils, paint brushes, makeup, travel and more - there's a lot of possibilities.

I love these pouches - the zippers are strong, you can see through them, the plastic mesh is strong too. I've organized so many things with these and similar pouches, great product!!!
