Can I use this for kitchen utensils such as a spatula, large spoon, tongs, etc? Will it still roll up with the extra thickness and stay closed?

I put my spatula in one of the pockets and.it rolls juat fine.

Does the knives edge get damaged in this bag?

No...i have my knives in sheaths. Iys not bad for the price

Will a 12 inch knife fit?

Just barely, I have a 14in slicer that I make work but it makes the bag fold a little weird.

is it just the bag or does it come with the knives ?

Just the bag. The zipper broke the first time I used it, and cannot put it back on track, so I can’t close compartment. It is a spacious knife roll, a little awkward, but holds a lot of kitchen utensils.
