Stepdown voltage converter 240V - 120V 45W

Bought for use in uk to run an ( imported from USA ) old gaming console. works fine, coped with long usage. this takes a 2 pin usa plug. Not the circular pins, the blade type. great buy...

This transformer is the second one that I have had. The first one failed after about six months and the second one lasted five weeks. These things are very poorly made the first one hummed even when sitting there with no load the second one didn't hum nearly as much but then again it lasted far less time but once again there was no load on it probably 90 to 95% of the time. I will not be doing this a third time and I would advise people to pay a little more and get some quality.

Someone plugged a 100 watt appliance (a TV) into this converter. It blew. I opened it up and found that it has a single use thermal fuse embedded in the transformer wrapper. A manual reset button or self-resetting fuse would allow it to recover from such a minor user error. This is designed to fail and not be repairable.

Does the job, but buzzes when it gets hot, so probably not for long hours of use. Customer service was excellent.

Didnt even last 5 minutes now im worried that my expensive flat oron might have ben destroyed as well !!! Complete waste of time and money, ive never had something breal so quickly
