I bought the DJI Mic Mini to use with my DJI Osmo Action 4, and I’m genuinely impressed. It arrived very well packaged and feels like a quality product straight out of the box. The mic is minuscule and light, so it’s barely noticeable when wearing it. Setup was simple and straightforward, and it just worked without any messing around. The magnetic clip is much stronger than I expected and feels very secure. Audio quality is excellent—clear and natural sounding, and a big improvement over the camera’s built-in mic. After using it for a while, I honestly haven’t found any downsides yet. Very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.

This mic is not only good at recording your voice but also background noise. Very easy to connect via bluetooth and perfect when using a DJI gimbal. The wind sock is in black and grey. I like the grey. I was really impressed with the range that it still worked with my iPhone 16. Using it with the DJI Osmo Mobile 7P Gimbal works perfectly as you do not have to plug anything in. The quality is as you would expect from DJI. So far I have filmed over 2 hours and I did not run out of power. It is small and light and can connect to your cloths with a clip or a magnet. It is decently durable and is great for social media. I visited a local waterfall. I had the mic clipped on my jacket and it picked up the sound perfectly.

A great little mic and I do mean little have a look at my video, which was recorded with the mic paired with my phone. It comes with all the parts you need, the charging cradle, the mic, mic clip, magnetic holder, dead cats, pouch and the mic itself. I have worn it on my shirt and have wandered around the house whilst recording to my phone which I left in a different room and it worked very well. Simple to use and for its relatively low cost great value for money. It’s all well put together and it works with my Osmo Mobile 7P too so I am very happy. I have recorded a couple of videos already and I think I am already seeing a difference compared to the phones own mic. DJI products are well made and simple to use and sync with their Mimo Software on the phone. Pairing was simple, I have only charged it once so far in a month so battery life and use seems good, as I say in the video it is compact and relatively lightweight so is comfortable whilst secured to a shirt etc.

This deserves more than 5 stars! It is absolutely a brilliant little microphone. The first thing that struck me was how very small it is! It comes with built in clip and a tiny magnet that you attach to the rear with a shirt or pullover in between. They recommend a 5v 2 amp charger which I used without any overheating at all. I connected it to my Pixel 8 pro via Bluetooth and using the DJI app updated the firmware. In my Google mobile camera app I selected the Bluetooth microphone and filmed some footage very successfully even working a distance from the phone with the transmitter clipped to my shirt. I lowered my voice and spoke very quietly into mic. When I replayed the video I could hear myself very clearly. So an excellent little device and well made.

Beware! The description is misleading in terms of its connectivity via Bluetooth on iPhone and Android phones, which is true because I did pair it easily and successfully, but I could not use the DJI Mic Mini with neither iPhone nor Android phone cameras nor their default audio recording apps. What is the point of it Bluetooth connectivity, I wonder? I did some research subsequently and realised that it would only work with other third-party camera apps (another download, and another mindful consideration before any recording - which is beyond my expectation in terms of ease of use). I've requested a return, unfortunately, irrespective of how much I liked the design and quality of its built. A short note to DJI: please get the basics right.

I bought this before going on our first ever holiday to Canada, I linked it to my DJI Osmo Action 4 prior to going on holiday and everything worked great. However, on our first day of recording in Canada the mic stopped recording and a message popped up on the camera saying something like the memory was full and the camera would not record until we disconnected the mic. I bought th mic specifically for our Canada holiday but the technology let us down. It’s probably a very good mic when it’s working but despite following the setup instructions it just didn’t work for us, so if you are considering buying one, I would suggest leaving it recording for several hours before you need to actually record anything important just to ensure that it’s working okay. I’m not too sure if I will need the mic again so for me it was a waste of money.

I originally bought this DJI Mic Mini transmitter after seeing it used by several YouTubers who praised its sound quality. My main reason for purchasing it was actually for a very special occasion—I plan to use it when I propose to my girlfriend. It’s incredibly discreet and small enough that it won’t give away the surprise, which was exactly what I was looking for. Although I haven’t used it for the proposal yet, my first impressions have been excellent. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with two furry wind mufflers (“dead cats”), which is a great bonus for outdoor recording. The entire kit is very compact, easy to carry, and the charging case works brilliantly, keeping everything organised and charged. If Amazon allowed audio samples in reviews, I’d happily demonstrate the sound quality because it’s impressive for such a tiny microphone. Overall, I’m extremely happy with this purchase. For around $30, you’re going to struggle to find a better microphone. Highly recommended!
