RecPro RV 2-Stage Auto Changeover Propane Regulator w/Hose

The mounting bracket is permanently mounted on the valve. The top screws is glued into the unit and will break off when tried to remove. If planning on using a different mounting bracket like had too, don’t purchase this valve.

Purchased this in January. Installed myself, no leaks, all was well. Within a week, the second inlet failed and would not work. Auto-switch feature was null and void. Only the left side would intake propane. I contacted Recpro directly with my issue and they resolved it promptly by sending me a brand new unit. Kudos to their customer service. I installed the replaced unit and within a couple of weeks, same problem arose. Only one inlet side would work. Second inlet side locked out. I accepted it and utilized the left side for regular propane usage... Yesterday, my furnace failed to ignite. Checked stove, flames died immediately. Tanks read 97% and 100%. Thus... had to go to Walmart on 4th of July and get a Camco propane regulator to replace this inoperable unit. The bright side is I scavenged the pigtail hoses and the mounting bracket off of this unit and got them installed onto the Camco Regulator (It was a PITA. Screw heads broke off this unit for bracket, and the brass fittings on the Camco took some absolute manhandling to remove). I expected this to last a little longer than 6 months. Pretty disappointed.

We bought this for our vintage Motorhome to replace the ancient one that is no longer safe to use. This worked great with some adjustments to mount it in the propane locker. Good value and good quality item.

Excellent piece of equipment BUT you have to make sure you have the correct fitting for your gas cylinders. This has American QCC1 fittings. It’s not clear in the advert. This is available with the correct fittings for UK (POL left hand thread). But a lot more expensive. I bought POL to QCC1 adapters.

Works exactly as explained in directions. Simple instalation.
