The MacArthur Bible Commentary: A Faithful, Focused Commentary on the Whole Bible Hardcover – Illustrated, May 8, 2005

I had borrowed The MacArthur Bible Commentary from the local public library and found that this was needed in my personal library. I highly recommend this for a Pastor, Sunday School Teacher or for someone that wants to enhance their study of Scripture.

I haven't used it much due to having his study Bible. I've read a few things from MacArthur and I'm never disappointed. John is a good pastor teacher!

It’s great but if you already have the MacArthur study Bible, it’s not needed.

I bought my first copy back in the Spring of 2022 and ended up giving it to a young man who hungry for the knowledge contained in scripture and in need of quality study materials. I was not in a hurry, nor was the loss a huge burden as I have LOGOS Bible software, but, I still wanted the printed book and just bought it again a few weeks ago. Very happy to have it in my house again.FYI - I don't necessarily agree with ALL that John shares in interpretation, but then, I do not rely on just ONE commentary or scholarly interpretation. Nor should you. If you do not have at least THREE different Bible translations to compare, then you are doing yourself a dis-service. Don't be lazy, be thorough. If the assurance of Salvation is not enough motivation for you to explore different scholars/minds/viewpoints, then beware that Christ does not slam the door in your face at the great feast. The Parable of the Ten Virgins. Mt 25.

Very useful in sermon preparations . Using it often

Great resource book, but more than a few pages were creased and folded during shipping. Please preserve the quality by putting a heavy rubber band around the book for shipping or something else suitable so the book doesn't flop and pages buckle and wad during shipment.
