Q: Can i use this to connect my thunderbolt display to my 2017 imac?

Hello! This dock is able to connect a Thunderbolt Display to a 2017 iMac. You would need to utilize the open Thunderbolt 3 port on the dock to connect it properly, and depending on the display, may require a Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter.

Q: will this device also charge my MacPro, or do I need a separate power supply?

Despite what the OWC rep says, this dock will only sort-of charge your MBP. Because it supplies only 60W, if you have a 15" MBP, you will find that the battery actually goes down any time CPU usage exceeds about 30%. If the CPU is closer to idle, then the dock will charge the machine.

Q: Will this let me run two 27" Thunderbolt displays?

Hello! Unfortunately, this dock is only capable of running one Thunderbolt display through the Thunderbolt 3 port. The other port for displays is only Mini DisplayPort and will not support a Thunderbolt display.
