Perfect for my African Grey! round shape is large enough to give him a varying shape to keep his feet in good condition. Also, the rough surface helps to gradually trim his nails a bit between groomed being. a great beak cleaner too. The only drawback that I can say is that you must remove it from the cage and soak it in warm soapy water to clean, I think because you do not want to wear down the sandy~ness by scrubbing it too hard. a bit akward to situate and attatch to the cage bars, but nothing major. Overall, very happy with this product. definetly recommened!

best perch for nails and beaks

but really difficult to keep clean when my macaw hangs out above it and poops on it from time to time. The one in the other corner is fine and clean, but if it gets dirty one has to soak and scrub it to get it completely clean, and taking it in and out is a pain. But great idea (no, there is no perch above it).

My bird loves this perch but the ends are very short. I wasn’t able to use the provided washers because then there is no room to tighten the bolts. I’m just hoping that my bird doesn’t mess with the bolt so the perch doesn’t fall down.

It took my parrot a week to accept it (he is an old bird, set in his ways), but now it seems to be his favorite perch AND his nails looks so much better. Large diameter suites a senior bird and is great for easy gripping.
