Quality and value. She loves it.
My gf doesn't like my heavy meat cleaver that i adore, in the kitchen. I bought one of these to try out & she LOVES it! It keeps a good edge, its light and scoops well. She took it home, so I bought another one for MY house & my big heavy cleaver is getting some well deserved rest. And for the price, its definitely worth the money. Keep the wood scales oiled weekly and it should last a long time. Keep it outta the dishwasher. Wood don't do well in the dishwasher.

My new favorite knife
I like the weight of this knife - sturdy but not heavy. I have arthritis, so I appreciate the shape of the handle and the fact that it’s sharp enough that I don’t have to exert much force. It IS extremely sharp, so I recommend safety gloves (or just be very careful, especially when washing it). The herb stripping feature is a bonus!
