Can you upgrade to xbox one later with a controller adapter?

Hello, no this is XBOX 360 only. Don't believe there's an upgrade ability

Does this game require an XBox 360 hard drive? How about an active internet connection? (i.e. is additional content dowloaded?)

Doesn't require the hard drive, but it REALLY wants it. If your memory space is limited, it might cause problems. Additional content is bought through minifig purchase packs, not downloaded. BUT an active internet connection is needed to access that content once you buy the physical minifig toys.

Is this a "Skylanders" type game? Will we continuously have to be buying more compatible figures to be able to play the game?

I honestly can't decide if I want to get this or not. All I really care about is the Doctor Who game. I'm kind of annoyed I have to shell out $100 for the basic set so I can then shell out $30 for the Doctor Who level. And I really could care less about the stupid figurines and the game pad. I don't need this crap cluttering up the shelf by my X-Box. But I do like the Lego games. I have Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman, and Marvel Superheroes. And I played the Harry Potter games that I checked out from my library. This just seems like a blatant money grab.

It says 7-14. Do you think a 5 year old could play this game?

My 4 yr old builds legos no problem and loves all lego games will be getting him this for christmas. I think its all up to the kid.
