This marker set is much more sophisticated than I initially thought. At first glance, they appear geared towards children's projects, but once I used them I found them to have a more elevated look to the final product. I tested these markers on both matte and glossy surfaces and the result is lovely. Initial assessment is straightforward color, but turning the page a little reveals the lovely shimmer of the glitter ink. Be aware, if you are looking for a big time glitter effect, these may not fit the bill.On the glossy surface the ink took approximately 40 seconds to dry completely and on the matte it dried within moments and was safe to touch.The pens start with a white tip and the user must depress the tip several times to get the ink to flow. I found the best result from depressing the tip and holding it a few seconds to be more effective than quick depressing four times. Once flowing, the ink ran smoothly with no need to shake the pen for continued use. The box is useful to keep the pens in and is resealable.

You really need to shake the pen before using it so that the glitter-infused pigment moves to the tip. You'll know the pen is ready to use when the tip is no longer white. Some of the glitter-infused pigments were quite stubborn; no matter how many times I shook the pen, the pigment wouldn’t move to the tip. What finally worked was dropping the pen on the floor, and then the pigment went directly to the tip. These pens dry quickly once used and leave no smudges or leaks. The colors are very nice, too. They're a great addition to my crafting materials.

I haven't had a chance to use these yet except to try them out, but I was really pleased with them. They make fairly fine lines, and the glitter is really pretty. I will try to remember to update this review when I finally get a chance to use them on an actual product.

These are beautiful pens. All of the colors are intense and sparkly. The age recommendation is for 14 years and older. Aside from the obvious choking hazard (pen caps) there is the danger of ruining clothing and furniture, as they are waterproof acrylic. I am going to be a rebel and let my 7- and 9-year olds use these under parental supervision, special occasions only. We are making hand made Christmas cards for our first project; the kids are really excited! The price is reasonable for acrylic pens; but for younger kids’ daily use crayons are more suitable.

These markers are very pretty, with a nice assortment of glittery colors. They are paint markers so you do need to prime them by pressing the tips on paper several times before the paint appears. For this reason they may be frustrating for children to use and are suitable more for adults. My one complaint with them is that they are smaller than I expected so they won't hold as much paint in them and won't last very long. Otherwise, these are nice markers.

Going to be doing some holiday crafts with my family and wanted to get some new paint pens to use and saw these glitter ones and just had to try them. You have to compress the tip of the pen to saturate the tip with paint and then it’s ready to go! When I tried them out they wrote very smoothly and sparkled like crazy! The glitter gave the ink a beautiful holographic likeelement to the ink. It shows up beautifully on paper. Worth the price, would recommend!

I was so excited to get these from Amazon today, I opened them up right away! The glittering colors are so bright and cheerful! The pens were easy to activate and the ink flows out smoothly and evenly. These are fine tips pens which are better for fine details as opposed to coloring in large areas. I used the to draw the dots and squiggles on my drawing and it really made it pop! What a great tool to add to my collection of art supplies!
