Q: What do the fractions mean following the model number? Ex: 4200-4/36 or 4000-6/50; the 4/36 and 6/50 mean what, please?

E.g. 4000/4/32 means Dremel Rotary Model 4000 + 4 factory parts such as Collet, Shield, Circle Drawing Guide, etc. + 32 accessories such as grinding discs, buffing wheels, wire wheels and brushes, abrasive wheels, etc. The Main Tool is the 4000. You mount the factory parts as you need them. If you are using a wire wheel to remove rust, you might want to mount a Shield on the Collet to prevent wires hitting you. The accessories are the pieces that mount on Tool to do your work - cut metal, grind metal, remove rust, sand, buff and polish, etc. Know that accessories are sold on Amazon at very cheap rates from the same shop in China that Dremel orders them from. No difference. Don't think you need accessories from Dremel. The only thing you DO need direct from Dremel not sold on Amazon are the carbon brushes replacements for the Model 4000. The ones on Amazon made in China do not fit. None do. Model 4300/6/46 means Dremel Tool Model 4300 (latest to date), 6 factory attachments + 46 accessories. The factory attachments are very useful and should be considered. The accessories are useful in that you can test out what you like for your work in a nice array of choices, before you buy a 100 pak separately. By the way, the 4300 differs from 4000 model in 3 ways: 0.2 amps stronger motor, and has LED lights so you see your work better, and it is brushless, so no carbon brush replacement hassles. This is very easy to replace but you have to order from Dremel.

Q: In the Technical specs, it lists a 2 year warranty, but in the body of narrative, it states 5 years. Which is right?

The 4000 2/30 model in the product manual says 5 year warranty on Dremel's Website.

Q: What is the difference between 2/30 and 6/50

2/30 has 2 attachments and 30 accessories, 6/50 has 6 attachments and 50 accessories.

It refers to how many attachments and Accessories. For example: 4200 is the model#/ 4 is how many attachments/ 36 is how many different accessories such as cutting wheels etc. Hope this helps.
