4 Film Favorites: Elvis Presley Classics (Charro, It Happened at the World's Fair, Jailhouse Rock: Deluxe Edition, Stay Away, Joe)

These films are a must for Elvis fans. Great fun and music@

Love Elvis so I like these movies. It was supposed to have 4 but I did not receive "Charo" in the pack, that and Jailhouse Rock where the ones I was most looking forward to seeing.

I get up listening and watching Elvis Presley and this DVD contains a great collection of his movies. The movie quality is good.

This collection features the classic musical-drama, "Jailhouse Rock" which is considered one of Elvis' best films and performances. "It Happened At The World's Fair" is a lesser known but good light drama co-starring Gary Lockwood and Elvis Presley as out-of-work pilots who wind up in Seattle burdened with a young Chinese girl whose father is missing. This movie also features a young Kurt Russell in his first juvenile role. "Stay Away, Joe" is flat comedy that stars Elvis and a talented cast of veteran character actors: Burgess Meredith, Katy Jurado, Thomas Gomez, Joan Blondell, and Henry Jones in a convoluted movie about a government herd of cattle and the romantic escapades of Joe White Cloud (Elvis Presley). The fourth film, "Charro!" features Elvis as a reformed outlaw, Jess Wade (aka Charro) who is framed by his former running buddy (Victor French) and his gang for the theft of the famed revolutionary gold-plated cannon of Chapultepec Castle in Mexico City. This violent western was an attempt to change Elvis' film persona.

It was in great condition and arrived very quickly. I'm glad that they were available for me to purchase, and I could add them to my collection.

Not only was Elvis a singer that transformed American popular culture, but he was far more talented than most people realize. I am sure that the early T.V. exposure he received was the boost that propelled his career the most but the acting skills exhibited in many of these movies proves his versatility.The wide range of roles would be a stretch for any great actor to pull off, and Elvis did that. He nailed a bunch of awesome performances and I have been enjoying this collection very much. The quality of the video is as good as are the soundtracks and real Elvis fans will be singing along with the King. I think "Charro" is a fantastic movie that stands the "Test of Time" quite well. It is generally the director who has either a clear vision, great actors and a well-written screenplay or a combination of those and with skill, create a memorable movie. Charro has all in abundance. Elvis was perfect in this. I am sure that any film school class that goes over this will agree with me. All four are great of course and "Stay Away Joe" is also a totally great effort with a timeless performance by Burgess Meredith as "Joe's" dad.

The cover says 4 movies, but I only received 3!

great value 4 film dvd of elvis , i bought it for charro which i`d just seen on t c m ,well worth the money

I've been searching for Charro for ages. One of his best films ever with a good story line. The title track gives me goose bumps.

one of the movies was not in the box so we were a bit disapointed
