Bought this for my 8 year old son. He's a very anxious boy with sensory issues and has trouble adjusting to things. He's been chewing his shirts, hair, nails, and fingers to the point of causing himself to bleed. He was complaining his fingers were hurting, o, I took a look. The nail is barely visible now and the side of his fingers looked jagged from the chewing. Bought this chewy to help with his sensory chewing. It looks stylish, so, no one really knows it's his chewy(meaning he's not embarrassed by it!). It fits around his neck perfectly and is loose enough for him to be able to causally have the necklace part hanging from his mouth while biting the chewy. He's a bit of a moderate chewer(he's chewed through a few chewies in the past within a matter of days). It's been a week with this chewy, and still no tearing. He takes it to school with him. Just having the option to chew it has helped him relax a bit better.The chewy came perfectly packed in a small zip locking plastic pouch and a personalized "Thank You" post it from the owners of this company! Such a nice touch. It also has all the information I wanted to know about the product! We will be buying another chewy for our younger son soon!!I would strongly recommend this for mild-moderate chewers! So glad we found this. We got the dinosaur one. Thank you for making this product! It has helped my son, and in turn us(as parents), immensely!

This is his second necklace. So far durable and helpful for his chewing needs. He loves them both and is happy to have choices for what to wear. Easy to shorten. Would totally recommend

I bought this as a trial case to see if it might help my 6 year old who has been suffering from anxiety and sensory issues relating to RAD and childhood trauma. Since it is advertised for babies, I wasn't sure if it would stand up to the serious chewing of a bigger kid. I have been pleasantly surprised! My 6 year old (with 2 adult teeth) has been using this for over a week now, wearing it everywhere and chewing on it often and there aren't even marks on the necklace from his chewing. Of all the different "tools" we have tried in the last month, this one has worked the best. I may buy another design just so he has a couple different colors to match his outfits each day!

My son loves this. The product itself seems sturdy enough. However, it is poorly designed. The dinosaur face is a thin inlay and the logo on the back is raised. So my son chewed the face out and bit off most of the logo after the first day. It is a shame because the main amulet type piece seems strong and he didn't dent or pierce that part yet. But I don't want him swallowing all the little nubs. Seems like a very poor design choice. If the other styles also have the raised design and inlays I will not be ordering again. Certainly not worth the $15 since he only wore it to school once and came home with it looking like that. Not safe either because I'm sure he swallowed the bits he chewed off.UPDATE:I contacted the company and Laura responded very quickly. She offered to replace the necklace for us and mad suggestions for different styles that don't have the inlays. Based on her wonderful customer service, I have upped my rating to 4 stars. However, be warned, if your kid is a heavy chewer they will eat of the dinosaurs face on this design. There are others that are better suited. We do love the product and the pendant itself is sturdy. So I have high hopes for the new one she is sending us. I appreciate a company that stands behind its product and values its customers and their feedback. Well done Munchables!

Great product and very durable!

I got this for my son who has some sensory issues and he loves it, however for him it doesn't work so well because it's so large it's about the size of a silver dollar and maybe a 1/4 inch thick and he's not really much of a chewer, he sucks on his finger so this particular style wasn't so appealing to him for what I intended it for. However, he still loves it and wears it everywhere and every once in a while he will chew on it, it is very durable.

The design is adorable and the chew part is sturdy. But within a day my son had chewed the clasp to the point that it no longer worked. It would be great if the clasp was made from a chewable material.

My son loves this especially since it looks like a cool necklace and not just a chewy necklace.

Overall, this was a great purchase. We bought is for our son who has ASD. We didnt realize how heavy of a chewer he could be so he did chew a hole in it within a few days but that was not a product error, we didnt get the appropriate strength for his oral needs. It did help him with self soothing and his anxieties. It also gave him a safe object to chew which was the original intention. His dentist thought it was a great idea as well. Will definitely purchase again, just in a different strength to better suit his needs

We bought this for our 5 yo and the butterfly for our 2 yo for Christmas last year. They both love them! Especially my son loves to chew on things he isn't supposed to, so whenever I notice that I bring this out he happily trades his shirt collar or pen tips or whatever he is exploring at the moment, with this necklace! And he loves dinos so that's definitely a plus as it is a cool looking necklace he is excited about.They have held up really well, though we don't have them in use all the time because with the pandemic it can be a bit awkward having a slobbery thing hanging off them 😅. But they do seem quite durable. I can't speak to the durability for older kids with stronger jaws, or really persistent chewers but for us they have been perfect! And the company seems like they really care about the customer as well, not just some random knockoff with questionable ingredients 😬.Thank you!

Love the dinosaur chew, my son loves that the other side has textured Cross Bones. He finds the clasp itchy , and keeps talking it off because of this. It is a bit scratchy, unlike a smooth one he's used too. I may remove a clasp from his other brand necklace.. so he can wear it comfortable.

Durable and super easy to clean/disinfect. It has multiple textures which my son enjoys. Totally worth it!!

Product was exactly as described, strong enough to withstand my 4 year old. Helps keep him from licking things he shouldn’t have helps give me peace of mind. Will definitely be ordering a few extras to have. Shipped fast
