The Good: the book is positively sumptuous, full of beautiful photos of gorgeous jewelry. And it arrived sooner than expected. The Bad: the book was sold as new. It's not. The Ugly: the book is encased in plastic, taped to the inside covers with discolored tape that lifts the paper off when one tries to remove it.

I had only a glance of this book and what caught my attentionwas the stories behind these wonderful creations. From courtesansto royalties, from femme fatale to philatrophist, they all sharethe same passion Boucheron.This will be a jewel on your coffee table and Boucheron will neverfails to entice your Guests. I salute the Author for his research.

An excellent work showing quite a bit of early Boucheron jewelry and showcasing the clients who made the house. Their personal stories were both heartbreaking and riveting, and the biographies were told well.The illustrations of the historic gemstone registers with descriptions and pricing were most interesting. These pages alone were worth the cost of the book.

For those interested in high end jewellery and some history, this is an excellent read. Recommended as it contains top quality pictures.

I truly enjoyed reading this book. What I particularly like was the history of all of the clients described in its pages, as well as the Boucheron book of stones.
