Tales Of Vesperia Definitive Edition (PS4)

This was easily one of my favourite games back on the xbox360 some ten years ago, so I was delighted when this game was announced for a remaster on current generation and the good news is that this is the best version of an awesome jrpg.Vesperia shows the Tales series at its peak, putting it on a level playing field with the Final Fantasy (pre xiii) and Dragon Quest series. Yuri and his friends are an excellent, likable bunch that manage to be both stereotypical archetypes but still fresh nevertheless. Yuri in particular has a dark, cynical streak that makes him a very compelling character.Pros- beautiful Anime, cel shade style holds up well, this is still a good looking game- all DLC including extra dungeons, various costumes and so forth- long, epic story that easily clears 24hrs- two additional characters adding to the story- lots of new, fully voiced dialogue and skits...Cons-... except they couldn't get the same voice actor for the main character. Its really jarring at first but you get used to it... Sorta- distracts from red dead redemption 2 (just kidding)

What a wonderful game to play again. I was late to the gaming world and only started playing games when I was 15 and this was my first real RPG. Since then I've played all tales and FF games along with tons of other rpgs in all consoles and this game is still one of the best. If only the modern tales games would be bit more like this. Great graphics, characters and a wonderful story.

Nostalgia aside, the game is a true to form JRPG with depth and excellent character development, Yuri the protagonist being extremely human and well designed along with the rest of the cast, the English dub is brilliant, if you're going to play only one JRPG in your life, I'd recommend it being Tales of Vesperia.

The best game in the Tales Of series. If you did not play this game on xbox 360 then now is the time to do so.

Live this game it a great one but I'm a big RPG player so it tick all the box's for me

I can remember playing an earlier tales series game on the ps2 I think and that was bad but I bit the bullet and purchased this rubbish what a waste of my hard earned £17.99 story etc is fine it's just the battles are sooo boring just press the same button a 1000 times and there over how exciting but what did it fir me was when you get to a place called helios about 10 12 hours in just after a big boss fight you have virtually no healing items left just one person not the usual gang of 4 and you immediately have to fight 2 idiots who are granite hard after about 50 attempts I gave up and threw this rubbish in the bin where it belongs why cant we have the old turn based combat back instead of this borefest

The Classic Tales of Vesperia has aged like a fine wine. Still as excellent as it was a decade ago.
