WGGEWGGE WG-008 24K Gold Safety Connector Banana Plugs (5 Pairs (10 plugs))

I have been installing home theater and designing and using sound systems large and small for over 40 years. I am always on the lookout for cool gadgets, widgets and connectagazoinks. These little babies are the best things I have found for use in connecting speakers with banana style terminals. I figured for the price they were gonna be typical Chinese quality. I needed something for a garage system I threw together last week, so I figured these would suffice. I was very happily surprised by several things. I love how quickly these plugs screw together on the end of my cables to give me very, very solid termination. The plugs themselves stay put and are perfectly snug when pushed in, but come out with the right amount of pull by me. I have used banana plugs that have cost A LOT more that were inferior to these little babies. They are a much better design than the plain old standard double red or black banana plug with the little tweaker screws. (Ever drop one of those screws? :-( Start over!) These are an amazing wee plug and superb for the money. I will be buying lots more in the future.

I have used banana plugs off and on since I first got into Hi Fi back in the 1970s. These plugs are fantastic! There is no soldering and there are no set screws. Simply insert the stripped wire into the plug from the back, fray the wire where it pokes through and screw the two parts of the plug together. This is a great design the simplifies installation and encourages use. I also like the fact that this design will accommodate 10 gauge wire.

Great product! This product is absolutely amazing. It works perfect. Speaker wire will go right through there in a extremely tight in the terminals for your speaker or your AV receiver. I highly recommend them. You're not going to find a better deal for this price anywhere. I don't care where you look. I have got a lot of banana plugs and to get this many of them for this price to work this good. It's just amazing

They work well, but the banana tip is not a solid part of the plug body. After installing the wire, I could grab the tip and spin it around. Still, the connection to the speaker seems solid enough to work well. Also, I didn't know that I would have to take the time to spread the copper wire strands in a 360 degree pattern before screwing the cap down to secure it. Perhaps the type of plug that secures the wire with two screws would actually be faster.

This is my first purchase of banana plugs for my Hifi system. I have been moving a lot of components around lately and decided to try banana plugs to make hooking up and disconnecting the speaker wires easier. I have to say that these plugs are great. They are very easy to install, and I am using a very heavy gauge speaker wire. They fit perfectly. When plugging into my components they make a secure connection that does not fall out. It actually takes a little effort to pull them out. I'm really happy I ordered these. They look good, are easy to install, and make moving around my audio equipment much easier.

Not cheap, but high quality, easy to use and get a good connection

This is the second batch of these banana plugs that I purchased. Making a connection is super easy in only a minute or two. Strip your wire, insert it into the back end of the plug, splay the wires down around the knurled area, and screw on the front end of the plug. I have not had a failed connection yet in my use which is for a fixed installation home theater system, and wiring for a portable backyard projector setup that gets setup and then packed away after each use.
