VIAIR Medium Duty Onboard Air System - 10003

We bought this to install on our camper as we go riding in our side by sides and it’s nice to have for blowing out the propane lines, add air to tires, blow up toys, and inflatable mattresses. My hubby installed it in a compartment. Works great!

Easy to install. Pressure switch & relay protected in one housing! Labelled wires!I mounted this medium duty compressor under the Frontier. I was going to place it in the bed since I have a tonneau cover, but decided against it with what little load capacity I have.I was going to mount the compressor and tank above the drive shaft since it would fit. I am running 32s and a 2.5” leveling kit. The shaft hitting the tank when traveling under load worried me.I decided to remove the spare tire & tire mount. I’ll build a mount on the tonneau cover for when I need to carry a spare. For now, there is the compressor and a tire repair kit in the emergency bag.The On/Off switch & gauge are mounted in the cab near the gear selector. Easy to see when standing outside the Frontier. The lighted gauge is a plus.The air compressor and tank are under the bed, aft of the truck. Away from the differential and the muffler.Air compressor is mounted directly to the bed, while the tank is on a aluminum base plate to keep it level. Wiring for both are out of view. Picture shows the bolt heads that mount the kit.Female coupler is mounted to the tow hitch. It was relocated with push fittings. I had to purchase separately and may change these to compression fittings at a later time.Overall, took me a couple of hours to figure out how where I wanted things mounted & how to install. The Frontier has limited space to work with. Once I made a decision, the install was actually easy.The instructions say not to use it, but I did add teflon to the fittings after reading some reviews that mentioned leaks. The air compressor has no leaks and holds pressure well.Tank takes less than 3 minutes to fill. It provides more than enough air for my needs: filling tires or iSUPs. I may add an train horn later!Air compressor is not too loud. I cannot hear it when underway. I can barely hear it in the cab when the truck is idling.Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

We bought this to attach to our dually truck, so we would have the option of airing up a vehicle tire if needed.It comes with allot if pieces and parts but once you sit down and look them all over, they are easy to identify.It does take a little while to install completely, but works perfectly in the end.We look forward to using it in an emergency situation

Installed this in my 1963 VW for my Air Ride using Monroe Air Shocks! Worked Perfect! Great Price, Great Product!

Tank leaked, instructions say not to use teflon tape but thats how I fixed it. Manual says not to adjust this connection since it is pre-tightened/tested from the factory but it leaked as soon as it pressured up past 30-40psi. I fixed it easily with the teflon tape, sending this whole thing back for a replacement would have been too much of a pain. Works great now, Hooked up to a WOLO Low Tone Air Horn... it sounds like the end of the world. It's perfect. Compressor is not overly loud and fills the tank faster than expected. I recommend the product.

Main use was for a train horn set and provide aux air on my 2015 Ram 1500 .

I absolutely love this product! I installed this in my truck for on board air and train horns. It was a easy install and works great! I would definitely recommend this system rather than some of the systems out there!

I instaled this air system I pumped it up to pressure and filled my bicycletires twice and the pump will not start again it just buzzes. The motor willnot turn over. And I lost my mail in warranty card.
