Usually when I buy off brand block sets they are not of very good quality, the instructions are extremely difficult to read, or they fall apart easily. This is not true for this set. This is a very cute Christmas set that my kids are putting together. I helped them a bit to check out the quality of the pieces and they fit together just as well as the leading name brand. My 11yo did say she struggled with one part on the polar bear staying together, but she eventually figured it out. The instructions are just as good as the name brand. In fact, the instructions look almost exactly the same even down to the light blue background. The only thing we really had a problem with is my 7yo couldn't find the sticker sheet it was supposed to come with it. Unfortunately I don't know if she threw it away when she first opened it, or if it never came with the sticker sheet. I still give this 5 stars because the missing sticker sheet may be missing due to my 7yo not being able to keep her work area clean.

Hard to put the pieces together and hard to pull them apart once they stick. Frustrating! Definitely not the quality of the Lego brand.

If you (or you and your kids) love Legos, you will love this Christmas tree. This lego-like building set culminates with a Christmas tree, complete with a train underneath, a ginger bread house, and some Christmas presents, a penguin, dog and snowman all in Christmas theme. The set even comes with lights to light up your finished tree. This would be a great box to keep on hand so that around the holidays, if there is a day where the weather is bad, and the kids can't go outside, you can all work together to "make" and build this Christmas decoration. They will have fun building it and be proud to tell everyone they made it. When it is done, it can be displayed as a Christmas decoration in their room, or wherever. Comes with a beautiful full-color book that shows you how to assemble it, step-by-step. Would also make a great gift too.

I got this to put together with my grandsons and it was a lot of fun. It's just like the name brand kits and the instructions were very easy to follow. They needed very little help from me to put this together and it looks great sitting on our island.

This Christmas Tree Building Set is WAY COOL! It even has Lights and the tree rotates too! The manual is well put together, and there are even some decorative stickers to put on the battery box, that are taped to right inside the manual waiting to be applied during the right step!This is one of those kits that will take a bit of time to assemble since it has 545 pieces in the kit. Yup! Hours of fun all with the Christmas spirit!
