Package is smaller than advertised, seasoning is mediocre.
I was surprised to get this 6 ounce bottle of spice blend after paying for 7 ounces. I see other reviewers have also been shorted in this regard. Not a huge deal but the seller should update the size. I recently made a batch of Indian biryani and found this product to be quite bland. It is mostly just cumin powder. It has the very uninteresting color of cumin powder, not the vibrant colors of turmeric and paprika that biryani is known for. There is also very little aroma from the cardamom, clove, or cinnamon. So basically this is just a slightly Indian version of cumin powder.

Spice Up Your Biryani Game
Picture this: a food-loving adventurer armed with a jar of Pride Of India's Indian Biryani Masala Seasoning Spice embarks on a quest to create the perfect biryani. Join me on this flavor-filled journey, filled with laughter, mishaps, and a few unforgettable moments.First Impressions:As I eagerly opened the packaging of Pride Of India's Biryani Masala, a delightful aroma filled the air. The medium-sized dual sifter jar was easy to handle and had an eye-catching label that screamed authenticity. It promised to elevate my vegetable and meat pilaf to new heights. With these high hopes, I couldn't wait to put it to the test. The Adventure Begins:I started my culinary expedition by following the recipe provided on the jar. The instructions were straightforward and easy to understand. As I measured out the recommended amount of seasoning, a burst of vibrant colors greeted my eyes. The blend of spices looked promising, and I couldn't help but feel a tinge of excitement.Into the Pot:With the masala in hand, I carefully added it to my layered vegetable and meat pilaf. The sifter jar allowed for precise sprinkling, ensuring an even distribution of flavors. As I stirred the dish, the aroma intensified, tantalizing my senses and making my mouth water. It was at this point that I couldn't help but feel like a master chef, ready to create a masterpiece. The Taste Test:The moment of truth arrived as I took my first bite. The flavors were robust, with a perfect balance of spices. The masala delivered a gentle heat, adding a subtle kick to each mouthful. The blend of spices was well-rounded, enhancing the overall taste of the biryani. However, I must admit, the flavors didn't quite reach the heights I had anticipated. It lacked the depth and complexity I had experienced with other biryani masalas.A Comedy of Errors:While the taste was satisfactory, my cooking journey didn't go entirely as planned. In the midst of my excitement, I accidentally added a bit too much masala to the dish, resulting in an unintentionally spicy biryani. It was a comedy of errors, with me fanning my mouth and my family laughing at my misadventure. However, it wasn't entirely the fault of the masala itself, but rather my own overzealousness in the kitchen.Versatility for Vegetarians and Vegans:One aspect I appreciated about Pride Of India's Biryani Masala is its suitability for vegetarians and vegans. It provided a fantastic opportunity to create flavorful plant-based biryanis, catering to a wider range of dietary preferences. The masala's ability to infuse vegetables with delicious spices was commendable, allowing me to experiment with various combinations.Packaging and Shelf Life:The medium-sized dual sifter jar was not only convenient to use but also kept the spices fresh for a considerable period. However, the jar's lid was a bit tricky to close tightly, which made me worry about potential spillage if not handled with care. Additionally, while the packaging claimed a long shelf life, I noticed a slight decrease in flavor potency after a few months. Conclusion:In my adventurous quest with Pride Of India's Indian Biryani Masala Seasoning Spice, I encountered highs and lows. Although the masala delivered on its promise to enhance the flavors of my biryani, it fell short of creating an exceptional culinary experience. The mishap with the spiciness
