Incredible sound for little money
Purchased this adapter so I could use my Smart TV audio output through my 1988 Okia HIFI sound system instead of a sound bar. It works perfectly and the sound is incredible, which it always was. Make sure to set the volume of your analog amplifier to minimum before turning on the system. Once on set volume control to a reasonable level and then you can adjust with the remote up or down.

Easy install. Connects eARC output to phono plugs.
Very easy install. This adapter allowed us to connect the eARC on a new Samsung TV to our "old" stereo phono inputs. This saved a lot of expense by making the new sound outputs from the TV compatible with our existing stereo equipment. It lost one star for the loud "pop" it makes every time it is switched on manually. If you just leave it on all the time, this will not be an issue for you.

LOVE IT. IT WORK. Projector HDMI eARC to HDMI in on box, then HDMI out from box to HDMI in on amp
Works Beautifully, tried several but this works. So this is how you do it. Projector has two HDMI, one is used for build in Streamer , 2nd is HDMI(eARC) , this one can send out audio . My amp did not have eARC HDMI , but had plain inputs HDMI. I connected Projector HDMI eARC to this box HDMI in , and connect headphone , sound what there ..... so now I know box is working, then i used Box HDMI out (Audio only) to HDMI in of my amp.. it work. I tried SPDIF now sound but it could be my amp. settings. did not try RCA.. but if you get audio outon headphone jack then this box is work , then problems is somewhere else. LOVE IT>

Works great!
If you have an A/V amplifer/receiver that is compatible with ARC, but not eArc, this is what you need. Connect the eArc out on the TV to the converter with a HDMI cord. You can power the device with the USB power plug or, as I did, purchase a 5V DC-AC plug. Then, connect the converter to the amp via HDMI or RCA plugs. Very simple. What's great is that the device has a headphone jack, as TVs never do these days. Be advised that you may have to make audio settings on the TV and that the TV volume will control the output level, as it does not with simple ARC.

All OR nothing sound
Made it possible to connect Samsung TV with no optical audio out port to our Sony sound bar. Works as advertised but it's an all or nothing proposition. You either get sound from the TV when the unit is off, OR sound from the sound bar when the unit is on. Even if the sound bar unit is off, you get no sound from the TV unless the converter is turned off. It would be nice if it sensed the sound bar was off and automatically allowed the TV to provide sound. A plus is that the TV USB port provides power to the converter.

Great product!
Works great on my Samsung smart tv. Installation was pretty easy. I have an older Bose system and there was no way to hook it up to my tv and this worked 100%. I can even stream music now too, through the Apple Music app. Worth every penny!
