The foam side is what you put on your back. That makes the brace hold your shoulders back helping your posture.I found it to be something I will use on occasion, but not every day. That's because I want to take time to get used to it. Otherwise, it isn't all that comfortable for me.Time will tell if it works to correct my posture or not. I'm 77 so don't really expect it to get rid of my hump.

This posture corrector is very easy to put on, it fits me very well, and it helps me improve my posture.I use it for walking and doing household chores and it feels very comfortable.I like that it is elastic and that I can tighten or loosen it a little here and there, when needed, I feel comfortable wearing it.

Compared to my old one which didn’t have any solid pieces I would always end up slouching. However once I was wearing this throughout the day I noticed that you kept hitting the back of my lower neck bone irritating it. Also the extra large was a little too big for me I would recommend getting the right size. Other than that I did in fact like that it did help push my shoulders back and remind me to have a better posture. Ps. it is lightweight.
