Very bad quality cable. Broke during the very first use of it. The CD provided did not give the software for my radio as was advertised. The software file for one radio type that may have possibly worked was corrupted and I could not extract that archive file. There was no driver given for the cable which is a PL2303TA USB to Serial Converter Cable for those also scratching their heads. Had to get the driver from the Prolific website by downloading the PL23XX_Prolific_DriverInstaller_v4300.zip file as pointed to in a previous comment by someone thankfully.

I used this on my Yaesu FT-60 to program it with Chirp and it worked!I had no issues importing my radio on to Chirp, but I did have some issues when it came to exporting my setting back on to the radio. I don't think it has anything to do with the wire itself, but Chirp and my Yaesu.I just kept getting an error that my radio wasn't getting Chirp's signal. But here is how I got it to work, Instead of pressing the button to set my radio to receive cloning, i pressed the PTT to set it to send signal. This made the radio pop up an error, but I pressed the button to make it receive right after, and the Chirp signal went through.For whatever reason, making it error out like that allowed the signal to be received.Overall, the best price I found for a simple cable to program my Yaesu FT-60. Would recommend

Worked once before breaking off into my radio as I removed it.

The USB Programming Cord works OK with my Dell Windows 11 laptop.The Programming Software is another matter.First, it is for obsolete Yaesu radios. It is NO GOOD.Second, it is poorly written with very few controls.I had to dump the software and use VX-7R COMMANDER.So, If you need the cable, it works, if you need Programming Software, BUY a different product.
