Someone had bought my 4 & 3 year old a cute glass tea set. While it was pretty, I kept waiting for the day when one of them would accidentally break one of them. Sure enough, that day came soon enough, so I got on amazon to find a plastic set. When I found this Melissa & Doug set, I was beyond excited. I love all things Melissa and Doug. My 4 year old had been upset that her little sister had broke one of the pieces and now mommy was getting rid of all of them. But when mommy hid the new tea set in plain sight for her to find, she was thrilled to bring it to me and asked me to open it right away.

I'm very satisfied with my purshased. This tea set is perfect for very little girls I can't believe how nice looking it's and how very resistant it's the material use to make this tea set; (quite strong) my daugther trow one of the cup against the hard wood floor, I was afraid that was the end of that cup, but nothing happen to the tea cup. I love all the details. I love that we can use water, juice or milk on it; the real stuff and my kids wouldn't be poison. My boys are looking forward to have a tea party with their baby sister if I let them use soda instead of milk and real cookies of course. I can't way for our family tea party. I can see Many tea party adventures in my daughter future. I'm very happy! Great product at great price.

Perfect tea set for my girls! Big enough to hold a decent amount of "tea" (water) but small enough for little toddler and preschool hands. The cups hold enough water to make a decent size drink, but small enough where it's not a big deal if it spills. (The cups are not prone to spills, but accidents still happen.) Also, small enough where my girls get to drink a good amount, but also refill their cups a lot--and that is half the fun for them! It's a delightful tea set with the butterfly and flower design. My girls have been having tea parties on a regular basis (sometimes multiple times each day) for the 2 months we've have this set. Easy to wash and clean. Durable. Highly recommended and would definitely buy again to give to other girls.

My 2 year old daughter cannot put this set down. For the last 3 days she has obsessively played with the set. She has to take a nap with one of the cups and has to take some of the set into the bath. It is a gorgeous set and I already love the Melissa and Doug toys (their customer service is phenomenal BTW) and I was drawn to the set over others because the decorations are painted on- essential for my sticker peeling off obsessed child. The set is so much more beautiful than the pictures do it justice. This will be one of the few toys I probably save for life (for my kids' kids :-)) my daughter doesn't really "take care" of her toys yet since she just turned two, but with this set she has to have it all out together and everything in its place- she is definitely taking pride in this toy!

I bought this for my 18 month old granddaughter as I wanted a tea set large enough for her to be able to hold onto, and wanted soemthing cheerful as I also purchased a more realistic looking dinnerware set. It was so adorable my daugther is going to use this at her house with her as they have an outdoor playhouse with table. What a great set. I'm so glad I purchased it. Very girly and super happy looking. Great for this age if they're into play and imagination. If they like to throw things around, then I'd probably wait as although it's plastic, I'd be afraid of breaking the handles and spout. If they are into play, dressup, like to be read to, love to run and play yet will follow insructions such as sit down, that goes here or there, etc., then can be used as young as my granddaugther. Otherwise, I might wait until they were a little older than 2. Such an adorable set.

I researched for days to find the perfect tea set for my 17 month old daughter: reading the reviews, analyzing measurements, noting the material that the sets were made of. And I must say the Melissa and Doug tea set is the best for us! Perfect for my very young daughter means the set won't easily break, she can play with it while in the bath, she can actually drink from it, I can wash the set without ruining it, it's big enough for her hands and sturdy enough so that it balances properly when set down, it's big enough for her but not so big that it isn't dainty and not so small that she can't play with it. We just purchased it Christmas 2013 and I think it will last quite a while because it's practical. And just as important as being practical for a tea set, is that it is very cute, and pink, and flowery!!

I bought this for my niece who is 2.5 years old. SHE LOVED IT! The moment she saw it she started clapping and yelling, "Mine! I make coffee!" LOL She played all night with it. She gets pretty crazy when she's excited and there were a couple of moments when she'd hurl the tea pot across the room and I am happy to report that it didn't break! LOL But for the most part she played gently with it and all her dolls loved tea time with h er.

This is a great tea set. We used the Simply Raspberry Lemonade (pink) and the teapot held about half of the container. That's quite a lot. The sugar bowl held raspberries that we added to our tea. The creamer was used for younger sister to pour tea as well. The plates (saucers) we used to hold our Snickerdoodle cookies. Saucers are about the size of my palm. It is not dishwasher safe and the inside of the pots have a lot of crevices, so wash after using. Very cute. Both kids loved, but my son did say "why is it pink?" He is the one who wanted a tea party. I guess they should make a green gender neutral one (or I should look for one). Great purchase.
