Unusual user, Great product
I have severe cerebral palsy and cannot walk but am able to crawl around the house on my knees using them as my 'feet' or hands and knees if i need high speed to get somewhere quick, like the bathroom. The issue with this is that I end up kneeling in specific places for long periods like working on the computer in the living room or at the stove making myself some munchies, even simply being 'in transit' from one place to another took its toll on my knees. So I got the idea of buying a pair of pads, I looked at these cause they are contoured, 100% soft which means no hard things to worry about scuffing the floors etc. They work wonderfully, the straps behind my legs fit nicely and I am very small / skinny, they do cut in a tiny little bit after having them on all day but simply putting my finger under the strap for a few seconds relieves that. The soreness in my knees is not there and i can actually stay in one place without having to switch my 'load bearing' leg all the time. They allow me to bend my leg in full range so i can be in my bed or on the recliner couch without having to remove them so i am always ready to mobilize if needed. While not optimum compared to having our house 100% wheelchair accessible it is optimal for what condition i am in and what our house is. Its cheap, effective, comfortable and they do their job.got these at 1 PM with our UPS and have had them on since it is now 4:30 PM so they are definitely comfortable for long term usage, i think i might not have something ajusted right for the strap to cut in but whatever. The color is a olive gree not as bright as what is here on the screen think more along the lines of a drab olive green, its quite nice and unobtrusive yet it will be easy to find these when i wake up among all my black wheelchair gear and stuff! So these are very durable I mean if im crawling across wood to concrete basement down and up the stairs and stuff I think its probably more extreme than what average garden use would encounter, maybe not depends on what your mind of 'average' is, to me average would be kneeling in one spot maybe a quick shift to another position to grab a bag of fetilizer etc. Will they last forever? No, I know that for sure, they will wear down / out eventually especially put through extreme usage like mine. Will they last a long time, more than likey, from the look of the way the stitching is done on these I think they will last a while. in extreme usage I would expect to replace yearly.

Comfortable & Lightweight
Pretty rugged given their lightweight. The heavy duty nylon cover helps in this regard. You can wear them with barely noticing their presence while they do a good amount of cushioning. I use them for home & auto repair on concrete, hardwood & ceramic tile floors, steel sink aprons etc.. They do have to be tightened quite snugly to keep from moving around. I bought these after trying a hard kneecap floor tiler pair, finding them uncomfortable. I originally had a lightweight, Husky brand foam rubber pair that moved around too much with their single straps; they also were not comfortable on uneven hard surfaces which the Fiskars handles. I rate the Fiskars at 4 1/2 stars, good but not perfect, at least for my skinny 67 year old knees. I could use a bit more shock absorbent padding, but these are the best I've found for my uses, especially at this price level. Used for kneeling only on soil, I would imagine them perfect.

My knees love these!
I had to run some electrical wiring in my attic & since I'm older now (60+), I decided I needed knee protection. My research found these. The pros:+ Low cost, which included free shipping.+ Double Velcro straps, which make it easy to get the right fit.+ Light weight, but does a good job protecting my knees.+ I wasn't sure I liked the color, but after several uses, they seems to stay pretty clean. The cons:- The pads do move out of position, but it's easy to pull them back in place.► I spent half the day crawing aound the attic today running in electrical wiring. Much of my time was spent kneeling on ceiling joists & these knee pads did a very good job of keeping the pressure off my knees. It's so much easier to work on a project, when you're not bothered by sore knees! :)► I was back up in the attic yesterday & have have an assortment of aches & pains, but none are from my knees. These knee pads were a very good investment!

More Cons Than Pros
Pros: Contoured well to fit over knee. Slides easily on floors. Cons: Straps are long and for me, too long. Foam does not hold up. After using them for 10 full days I have to throw them out. All of that being said, they are the best knee pads overall I have found as there is not much of a selection on the market.

These knee pads could use design improvements
Nice light weight---suitable for light-duty use.Comfortable foam padding to protect the knee caps.Velcro straps a plus. This is my second pair of these Fiskar’s knee pads. (The straps on the previous pair did not hold up after a short-time intermittent use).I’ve found better knee pads on the market.I use knee pads frequently for many tasks, that require me to kneel on one or both knees---from smooth hand surfaces to concrete and gravel.CONS:These knee pads constantly slip-down---( they don’t stay in place). The elastic straps stretched after only a short time use, and couldn’t be pulled up tight enough to stay in place. I folded the straps and restitched, so as to make them shorter, to hold in place. (weak elastic material). The design of these pads does not allow the straps to be crossed on the back of the knee, so as to keep the pads in place. (This knee pad design should allow crossing of the straps, on the back side of the knees, so they stay in place. I contacted the supplier a couple years ago, and to date this issue has not been corrected---bummer).I have other makes and types of knee pads, that permit crossing the straps on the back of the knees, so the pads stay in place during use and when getting up and down.PS---I have MANY Fiskar products, and well satisfied with their performance.I would expect Fiskars to produce better quality knee pads.
