Custom Leathercraft DEWALT DG5204 Professional Kneepads with Layered Gel and Neoprene Fabric Liner, Large

I purchased the Dewalt DG5204 Professional Kneepads to install laminate flooring in my house. The work included removing carpet, carpet padding, carpet tack strips, preparing subfloor, and finally installation of the laminate. These kneepads saved me from injury on several occasions that I know of and probably even more where I was oblivious to the danger. Example: when removing carpet tack strips from concrete subfloor, little nails are likely to break off or fly away as you yank up the wood strip. Sometimes you see them and pick them up but other times you don't and they end up somewhere on the floor. Several times after finishing up for the day I would look at these kneepads and one or more tacks/nails were stuck straight in the soft portion. Without these pads that would have been my knees.Aside from the protection these provide, they are also comfortable and stay in place. Constant up and down, kneeling and standing, will cause them to shift a bit but they were very easy to realign. I would only recommend someone wear these over pants however because with shorts on they can hurt and pinch you. I still did it a few times but would usually switch to some jeans for more comfort.Overall a great buy and I'm glad I bought these rather than others that were twice the price. I probably used these for 40hr/wk for 7 straight weeks and they are still in great condition.That includes a lot of time where I was on my knees on dirty unfinished concrete. Would easily buy them again in 30yrs when this pair may need to be replaced.

I am very happy with this purchase. These knee pads are well constructed and have plenty of comfort. I am confident they will last me years. The only thing about them is the top strap slips and can cause some discomfort at the bend of the knee. I have tried several different knee pads for my job that requires me to be on my knees on a hard concrete floor for a couple of hours and these knee pads are holding up better that previous foam knee pads. They are nonslip and would work well for construction or stocking jobs for sure

Wow, I love these kneedpads. I am not a general contractor, but do I find that when I am doing work around the house, on the house, or in the yard, I invariably need to be kneeled down for whatever reason and I keep shifting around or switching which knee I am putting weight on. These kneepads solve that problem because now I feel that I am kneeling on nothing more than firm cushion gels. These kneepads, first off, are comfortable to wear as other reviewers have pointed out. Given that it's summer time in Southern California as I write this review, I wear shorts on the weekends and these kneepads have already spared me the burn of having my knees touch hot pavement as I am kneeling down and doing work in the driveway or anywhere in the yard (dirt can heat up in 100 degree sun!). The straps that wrap around the back of your knees are comfortable and don't dig into your flesh with harsh buckles, which is what I was concerned with before making the purchase. Given how comfortable they are when I wear them direct on my skin, I probably will like them more as the weather cools down and I find myself wearing regular jeans on the weekends as I do house work. The "shell" (the yellow cups that actually are the kneepads) are made of sturdy plastic and aren't flimsy. So far, they have only gotten scuffed, but don't at all seem to be cheap plastic that will give out any time soon. I expect years of use on these bad boys. If anything, the straps themselves might give out or begin to fray over the years, but that is to be expected with the passing of time.

The media could not be loaded.  I've been using these for 4 years now for mostly gardening. The padding and front plastic shield are excellent. These areas have held up very well. Unfortunately, the bottom elastic velcro straps that holds the knee pads in place on the legs have worn out so now they fall off constantly and have to be re-adjusted. The top strap clicks in but the strap has worn out too. For heavy or construction use these probably wont last that long. For the home light user these are fine and you should get many years out of them. Knee pads get lots of abuse so they will not last forever. They are still the best knee pads I have tried but I do think I need to invest in another pair of these. Hubby tried these for the first time today and work takes him to his knees on all floor types...including concrete. After seeing someone in a retail store with a pair on (different brand) and asking him about them, I took some notes and checked Amazon as quickly as I arrived home. Of course there were many brand names and style to select from, so I began checking ratings and reading customer reviews which are normally very helpful. These were the one's I selected.Pro's:- Fit well with the straps holding tight and stayed in place. No slipping.- Do discomfort walking around with them on.- Immediate relief and comfort- Gel Cushion is deep, plentiful, plush and surrounds not just the lower knee but wraps completely around the knee cap along both sides.Con's: None at this time. Should there be any, we will update in the months ahead.Recommend? Absolutely! Make Life Easier and More Comfortable.

Compre estas rodilleras para realizar trabajos donde tengo la necesidad de permanecer hincado por un tiempo prolongado en suelos duros como en el cemento o en pisos de azulejo, por ejemplo; cuando le doy mantenimiento a mi computadora suelo permanecer arrodillado sobre un piso de azulejos limpiando el polvo del gabinete con aire comprimido y revisando que no este flojo algún cableado, lo que ocasionaba que al terminar siempre me dolieran bastante las rodillas al pararme, sin embargo con estas rodilleras ahora es bastante cómodo hacer trabajos estando hincado, puedo permanecer en esa posición sin que al pararme sienta malestar en rodillas por haber permanecido hincado trabajo en suelos duros. Si desean evitar dañar sus rodillas por trabajos donde necesiten arrodillarse por periodos de tiempo largos recomiendo comprar este par de rodilleras por que brinda una buena comodidad al trabajar hincado, para que se hagan una idea la sensación de utilizar las rodilleras es como si se hincaran sobre un sillón o una cama blanda.

Very comfortable, offers great knee protection and durable

A bit of a dewalt fan but even if I wasn't these are great kneepads. Well built, doesn't slide down if done up right and the comfort is great. Can't say much for durability yet but I'm sure it'll be good. Overall very happy with my purchase
