Pros:- merino wool doesn't retain odors- good breathablityCons:- rather thin... meaning not that warm (I've used it as a base layer, in cold weather, with another balaclava and/or hat on top of it)- rather thin... meaning it doesn't hold well when the air you exhale forms a layer of frost on it- mouth opening is small, if you're exercising you need hydrate and breathe heavily, and both are not convenient with such a small openingProbably good for a walk in the cold. Not so much if you plan on being active (skiing, running in <15F weather).I would definitely buy a thicker sturdier version of this item (for $50 instead of the $35 this item cost me, if needed).

Won't work for me
I haven't used it yet, and I will not be using it. It's super thin and it has an opening for your mouth. I don't want a mouth hole. That defeats the purpose of wearing a mask, for me. I need the mask to be a barrier between my lungs and the cold air. I missed the mouth hole in the expanded description. Didn't see it in the online pics, and the pics on the packaging don't show a mouth hole either. Oh well.

I have a small head and this thing is tiny ...
I have a small head and this thing is tiny. The real problem I have with it is, it's cut weird around the eyes. Always touching my bottom lids and lashes. As a result is never left the house.

the mouth piece (hole) tore up in less than a week. Very comfortable but unfortunatly not at all durable and thus not worth the nearly 40 dollars (CAD)
