The Bak-Pak Pre-skimmer fits around the powerhead and skims water from the surface of the aquarium where wastes accumulate. The Pre-skimmer& makes the Bak-Pak even more efficient.

Works great!
Easy to install and works as expected. The BakPak2 skimmer seems to collect more skimmate with the pre-skimmer attached (an observational measure, not empirical). The documentation neglects to specify what to do with the unused holes - plug them or let them take in water from beneath the surface?
