Chinese knock offs ????
I've used ALM blades for at least the last 10yrs.Never had an issue before, the ones I usually buy can handle small twigs, branches and palm fronds. These were useless. They didn't come in the normal ALM branded plastic packaging and arrived in small plastic baggies (one bag only had 7 blades)The blades have ALM embossed on them and fl246, so they look legit. However in the space of 20 minutes, cutting only the finest Devon grass, devoid of any stones, or sticks, 4 of the blades snapped, shattered, or disintegrated.Once the 2020 lockdown is over, I'll get some off my normal handyman shop and see if they have the same issue as these, it may be that ALM have changed the manufacturing process since I last bought a pack of 10 in 2016 (that's how long the last original pack lasted) keep your eyes to the skies for an update in a few months.Other than that (and the three missing blades) prompt delivery by the supplier.

Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) alternative
These blades are identical to the OEM blades, they appear to have similar resistance to breaking, plastic blades are always going to suffer erosion from tougher grass and other debris on the grass.I would recommend these blades and supplier

excellent value for money
very good value for money (10 in pack as opposed to usual 6) and quick delivery. Have only used 2 so far for my Flymo and they have stood up well to my uneven patch of lawn. They came in a clear plain plastic bag so not as pictured but have the ALM brand name on so not complaining . Would recommend and certainly buy again eventually. Only time will tell how long they last.

Unhappy
I was very unimpressed with this product as I went to cut my grass and went through 6 blades when cutting my small lawn that I had previously checked to make sure there were no stones or any other impediment to the blades but some how broke 6 new blades? I have only ever gone through 4 blades in a whole year before!

Not fit for purpose
Every single one of these I have used have explosively shattered, the last one actually doing damage to the plastic of the lawnmower (blowing a hole in the side). NOT recommended. This happened while cutting a flat lawn with no objects in the grass.

Not fit for purpose
The plastic used is so brittle it makes them completely unusable. 3 blades got broken mowing 8 sq.m. of clean lawn. Obviously cheaper for a reason. Won't buy again.

Avoid at all cost!!!
I have ordered these types of blades before and they most have been "genuine products" as these were really dreadful.Lets just say 7 blades snapped/broke within two minutes of use,ie every time you hit anything in the grass ie a small branch or peg or stone. What a massive waste of money and time.Very disappointed!!!I suppose it's true you get what you pay for.Better off paying an extra couple of quid to be honest.
