Bought this to help reduce phosphate,no doubt it'll work,I haven't set it up yet,It looks a good quality piece of kit,delivery was on time ,good service thanks.

Just received this today and now its up and running its seems to be a nice bit of kit!To be honest I found the instructions (you have to download online) a bit vague and being a newbie to advanced aquarium plumbing & filtration found fitting the tubing a bit fiddly. Its also takes a while to open the reactor up for filling but straight forward enough and atleast it seems leak proof!I would like to have seen slightly longer tubing since im sure most people who intend to install under their tank will probably need double that which is supplied (2m) the pump supplied is a quality Maxijet one which is brilliant and virtually silent.One little tip for anyone who hasn't used phosphate in a reactor before, make sure you rinse the Rowaphos (or whatever media you are using) 1st in RO water before placing in the reactor! - as I had been used to just throwing it in to a media bag in my internal filter in which case you don't have to rinse it, I nearly ended up with brown water but luckily noticed before it hit the tank!I bought the unit in order to tackle a nasty algae problem and im sure it will do the trick! - it does seem pretty well designed solid and well made.On the whole im happy with the unit and am intrigued as to what other nice toys Clear Tide have on offer as they have allsorts, some of which could be just plumbed into the same pump as this.
