Prep Solutions by Progressive PS-15 Fresh Herb Keeper

After storing my cilantro in the fridge in a glass of water, I decided to buy the Progressive Prep Solutions Produce Keeper so I could move it to the door and not worry about the water spilling out when I closed the fridge door.The container keeps the cilantro fresh and crisp and is easy to clean. Highly recommend!

Can't get very many stalk-type vegetables in it. But it keeps them pretty fresh as long as you replace the water every few days. To clean it, I just run it through the dishwasher on the top shelf.

I had one of these and it worked well for keeping asparagus fresh. I accidently dropped it and it shattered. I thought that was weird, but my fault and I ordered another one. It is made of hard slippery acrylic material. As I was removing the new one from the box it slipped a few feet and again shattered. It is not durable at all if it can't withstand a drop of a couple feet without busting into pieces. It dropped on a vinyl floor not concrete.

Wow! Great product. Placed fresh dill in it recently and lasted over 2-weeks. Without this I’d likely thrown it out after a week or a bit more. Easy to use. I’m not sure it’s dishwasher safe though. I don’t wash it in the dishwasher. But check the details if it is or not.

Leaks with a trail of water on the floor every time we take it out of fridge. If stored on the fridge door, trail of water drops flies onto the floor every time the fridge door opens. Why? Because the bottom unit is actually two pieces that are poorly screwed together. There are no real threads to hold it together on the top section, just a few grooves on some tabs that go over the threads on the bottom, so the seal is very weak. BAD DESIGN. Buy a different unit that has a single solid boom that won't leak.

I bought the herb keeper and microwave dome because they were made by Progressive International who made the patented colander that I bought years ago and love.The herb keeper is a replacement for the Cruisipro herb keeper that I bought from Amazon in 2013 and while the latter kept parsley fresh for over two weeks, it was difficult to put in a big bunch because of the Crusipro design. So, although the Cruisipro is about a third larger in diameter (I threw it out so cannot measure), the 4 inches diameter of the Progressive herb keeper holds as many herbs as did the old Cruisipro and without them having to be squished in around the Crusipro’s central post which holds the bottom cup and the top together. Definitely a design improvement! I cannot comment about longevity, having only had this for about a week, but it seems to be working well.

Bought it out of curiosity, ended up loving it for the savings it’s made for me. Had never seen anything like it before and was tired of tossing celery out because it got limp and gross. This item saved my celery and my wallet. I recommend this unusual item if you want to save money.

No le caben las hierbas a lo alto y le cabe muy poquito en general. Cuando lo cierras, como las hierbas no se sostienen, cuesta trabajo y se maltratan. Después compré una cápsula que me funcionó mejor, recomiendo mejor esa. Me llegó bien el producto.

Si funciona bien, el problema es que es muy pequeño, le cabe muy poco.

The container works well but you have to buy it when you actually need to use the produce as you need to trim a lot off the tops of the green onions so they will fit which is fine if you can use the cuttings right away. I found the same with parsley. It will only hold about half a grocery store bunch so, again, I try to have a use for half of it the day I buy it.

don't tip it because the water will leak out at the bottom where it screws on. I leave it sitting on a small plate in the fridge so it doesn't get water everywhere.

The container has limitations on what herbs or how much water to add on. I have tried 2 different herbs and did not keep them fresh nor airtight.
