WiFi Smart Plug Mini AISIRER Alexa Plugs, Timer Remote Control Plug Socket No Hub Required,Smart Socket Support Amazon Alexa Google Assistant IFTTT(UK Plug)

As this item was made in China I thought I would carry out a basic PAT inspection prior to use (I'm a member of the IET and a qualified PAT tester). I was suspicious because although it is CE marked it has no other conformance marking such as BSI. The earth pin is not connected at all. This is a very serious safety issue and the product should not be sold in the United Kingdom.

Truth be told, this is my first non Apple HomeKit smart device. I can't justify the price of the HomeKit smart plugs and so I purchased this as it has a small footprint and integrates with IFTTT.I've been very happy with this after using it for a couple of months. It is reliable, hasn't dropped connection once, and I use it with IFTTT to automate the plug based on geolocation. You can set timers if you like or automate based on sunrise/sunset and use with whatever product you want.Definitely buy this. Excellent Smart plugs. I was a bit nervous after reading people say they had no earth connection, but as you’ll see from my photo the earth is connected. They were easy to setup I used AP mode. Added the Alexa skill and integrated perfectly. I like how you can name them whatever you want and Alexa takes the command. I named one “the tree” and simply say “Alexa, turn on the tree” and bam the Christmas tree illuminates. The Tuya app is also very good and so responsive. I’ve plugs in the past that have a good few seconds delay these are instant from the app.

Firstly in response to some other reviews, my mains tester tells me this product is earthed - I would be sending it back if it were not.I managed to integrate this into my Samsung SmartThings and Amazon Echo set-up via IFTTT without too much hassle. Works well so far. I have just bought a second one - they are about half the price of the Samsung equivalent.I won’t be using the app other than to register new devices, which was easy enough.

Good smart plug ! nice and small and no annoying big light on the unit - its hidden away nicely underneath and only comes one when the plug is on, that said you will struggle to see the blue light anyway.You can also push this button to turn the plug on and off.I had a bit of of an issue with Wi-Fi 2.4GHz and 5 Ghz as I am on a new BT Smart Hub(hub6) and once I separated the bands and went on the 2.4 one it works a treat, Now just popped my phone back on 5GHz and all working fine.

This product has done exactly what it has promised, allowing me to control a plug (which I connected to a light) using the google assistant. It responds instantly being faster than other smart devices I have used previously.The tuya smart app as shown in the pictures is great, but the best part is its integration with the google assistant which works seamlessly allowing instant and easy control of the plug after you sign in with the account used from the tuya smart app.

This is a compact smart plug that comfortably fits in an extension block or switched wall outlet without impeding the switches or use of adjacent sockets.It's really easy to use, download the app and register, plug it in and it finds the plug straight away. There was a warning about the device not being capable of connecting to 5.4Ghz WiFi, bit my Sky router broadcasts the same SSID on 2.4 and 5.4Ghz. After I accepted the warning, the app and the switch were connected.The app allows you to set a timer, by setting the on time and day and off time and day. It's really intuitive and within a minute I had a simple daily schedule up and running. The device can be named in the app, ie Fish Tank in my case and added to a room. This means if you add further devices, you can keep them organised and know what does what.I've not tried it with Alexa, that's overkill for my use.

I was so pleased with this product I purchased another straight away. I used it to control my aquarium light and oscillating fan whilst on holiday abroad. I can turn them off and on even whilst connected to my mobile data. They have a built in timer and even a countdown. Very easy to set up and use and are the perfect size as do not interfere with any ajoining plugs. In fact I'm considering purchasing more as gifts as these are great items. Totally recommend.
