Good tension rod, strong, stays nice, multiple uses.
This is my second one. The first one was shorter and is in my shower above where I stand. I bought it to drip dry clothing before I bought an apartment sized washer that spins things out well. I still use it to hang wet clothing in the shower when my other rod which is hung in the bathroom proper is full of damp clothing. I run a dehumidifier and put my tower fan on the toilet running on oscillating mode to get my clothing all dry in a closed bathroom. Since most of my clothing is lightweight and dries fast, this takes very little time. I plan on getting another one to put in front of my bathroom window and put a curtain panel up on clip rings so I can move the curtain completely away from the window. If you are using this in a wet environment, take some clear fingernail polish and lightly seal the end of the tube in the middle where it expands. I see the slightest amount of rust on the very edge of mine. As much water as it's exposed to, I'm surprised it's not worse. I plan on removing that rust and sealing the edge. I've had this for months (the short one) in the shower itself and that's all the rust I've seen--just a tiny spot--so I wouldn't really worry to much about that. It's a good product. I find that it stays up better in the shower than between the two uneven walls in my bathroom, so I'm putting up something to set the weight of the rod on or secure it so that I can hang a lot of clothes on it without it falling down. In the shower, with the hard, smooth tiles, that's not an issue.

Great for Christmas garland
I bought this to put my Christmas garland on to put between my built ins. This worked so well. My Christmas garland is heavy! and it held it up all season, it was easy to secure between the two shelves and I did not have to use and adhesives which might be damaging to my painted built ins. This was a great use for the curtain rod and I was surprised it held all the weight of my garland which was heavily decorated!

Easy to install, unique design, and no tension spring
This tension rod appears to be unique in simplicity. Most use a spring which needs to be correctly set to the right tension to hold the rod in place, and in my experience, the spring eventually rusts or fails. This rod uses a strong plastic "bolt" (for lack of a better word) that is friction fit at the user-adjusted length, with a simple twist of the rod. If you remove the inner rod from the outer one, you'll be able to examine this plastic bolt and get a better idea of how it works. Works great for me! I was so impressed after installation, I ordered a second one.

Mediocre
It'll do the job. But is built with extremely thin tubing.

A couple of tips to get the most out of this item
This rod fell down once but has stayed up since I repositioned it. It works on tile, a slippery surface, so I am happy! If you buy this rod, here are two important tips: first, be sure to locate the clear plastic ring and fit it into the middle joint after you install the rod. Otherwise your curtain will catch on the gap every time you slide the curtain back and forth. Second, the unsightly instruction sticker on the rod IS removable, although it looks as if it's part of the rod. Just peel it off with a fingernail.

one that seemed just like this (purchased elsewhere)
We recently replaced out old rod, one that seemed just like this (purchased elsewhere), because it started to rust at the point where the two telescoping rods connected, and the rubber end caps were starting to yellow. This new one has a nice advantage where you can just pull it out all the way (like it had some sort of clutch/ratchet system), and then just twist to fine-tune...on our old one, you had to twist it seemingly hundreds of times to get to expand to the full width we needed. However, the metal seems fairly thin, and the connection ring that eases the telescoping point transition seems less refined than our old one.The end caps also seem to be a muuuch firmer plastic/rubber. Almost more like a soft plastic, than a firm rubber. It doesn't seem like it will hold it's position as well as the old grippier rubber feet, and infact "walked" quite a bit when we tried to tighten it in place.2/16/2016 edit: something I didn't mention in the first review was that the first unit arrived damaged. We went through Amazon to report this, and a replacement was shipped immediately, and quickly delivered. It was in good condition, and we installed it. However, about 2 weeks later, I heard a loud bang from the bathroom.I thought maybe the cat had tugged on the curtain and pulled the rod down. So, I re-installed it. This afternoon, though, it fell again with nobody in the room. I tried to re-install it, but I couldn't turn the two halves. They seemed stuck. I just checked to file a return request, but we are 1 week pack the Amazon return policy. I went to the manufevturer's page, and it looks like we missed registering the shower curtain rod's purchase with them for a warranty claim. We've already purchased a replacement, and this one will either be thrown away, or maybe repurposed in the laundry room to hang clothing for air-drying, after cutting it up with a hacksaw. :(

IT IS EVERYTHING THAT I EXPECTED, Cheaper than local and I didn't have to deal with traffic.
I used it to hang Christmas lights in my large living room window. Made it fast and easy! Definitely safer than climbing up and down a ladder. First I adjusted rod for perfect fit then I removed it from the window and draped the lights on it and reinstalled it in window.

Works well and very affordable.
My husband and I recently decided on a whim to remove our shower door. We are hoping to eventually do a remodel, but in the mean time we need an inexpensive tension rod. Because we haven't made definite decisions on design and decor, we were happy to find the white Zenna shower rod for a very reasonable price (about half of what we found in local chain stores). The number one thing we needed in a rod was functionality. We needed something that would fit properly and securely. After about 10 days of use, this rod has done the trick. When hanging it, it extended with ease and twisted in tightly. Additionally, we have two heavier clothe curtains hung on the rod, and it has not shown signs of sagging or slipping. We are very pleased with this purchase and think it is perfect for meeting our needs.
