Lennox 12U67 iComfort S30 Ultra Smart Programmable Thermostat, Geo-Fencing, Remote Access, Wi-Fi and Alexa Enabled Black

Simple enough to wire up but the smart hub isn't transferring power to the display unit. Voltage tester shows power going to hub but nothing coming out. For the price of this thing you would think it would work. I don't recommend this product, go with something universal

My previous Lennox thermostat was broken after 10 years and is no longer available from Lennox so that I had to choose this model. Now I am happy to use it, although it is much pricey in comparison with other brand models. The installation was pretty simple and easy. But by unknown reason, I cannot use the app with new thermostat. The old one was good to use the app, but not with this one. Besides this issue, I am very okay with this thermostat.

Had to have a new thermostat for hvac that worked with solar panels. Works well just to expensive.

We had a professional installer come out and take a look. It kept faulting. He said the wires were fine, it just wouldn't work correctly. He installed a different thermostat that was less than half the cost of this one, also works with the cell phone, and has been running perfectly. At least we were able to return this for a refund.

2 HVAC companies told me that it would be $1500 from one and $2000 from the other to furnish this thermostat and install it. As is count on at least $600 to professionally install it and pray you get someone that knows exactly how to install this 2-part thermostat and make it work to its fullest capacity. Rest assured you will not be able to install this yourself as it is not plug and play like most thermostats. It took 3 licensed, technicians to finally get mine wired properly and I tried 3 other thermostats including the M30 ($326) and the CS7500 ($134) both of which I was told would work but neither would unless I rewired the entire system. For this one, the actual thermostat has to be wired directly to the furnace and you will need good Wi-Fi from there to be able for it to communicate with the screen that plugs into the wall where the old thermostat wires are. There are also some details like unused wires have to be redirected back to the unit and not just left taped up. If you have an electric EZ trap cap, it should be on a relay so if it malfunctions the thermostat/app will tell you, otherwise the system shuts down completely. The 3rd tech that finally fixed the problem told me it was probably the old thermostat because they were problematic so Lennox just discontinued making and even stopped supporting them, leaving consumers with only one option, The S30: the world most over priced thermostat. That's why you can't find the plain white one that did everything this one does. It does look nice on the wall...but so does a Rembrandt....

Unfortunately, my certified HVAC could not get this to work. He spent quite a bit of time setting it up, rewiring, etc. but then, despite the "rigorous testing", it just did not work at all. If you want this, you need to buy it from Lennox at full price.

My local dealer wanted $1500 to replace the smart hub and thermostat. I bought this Smart hub and thermostat combo off of Amazon through EchoStar Energy for $800 and paid $125 for a local independent HVAC guy to install. I had special needs that I didn’t realize until after I had it installed and contacted EchoStar Energy and they worked with me until I got it right. Jerrold

The smart hub lights up but the voltage doesn't transition across the hub. Comes in at 24v and supposed to leave at 12v. I assumed I was doing something wrong so I called a Lennox rep out and he said the hub was broken. This ended up costing me $100 for the call. So this was worse than broken, the seller should reimburse my service call on top of the refund. Very disappointed.
