I couldn't find reviews for this set of dumbbells online anywhere prior to purchasing, but I took a chance on them because I like the CAP brand, they look quite nice, and the price is very good for this amount of weight. I'm happy to say that I'm glad I took a chance on these instead of some no-name brand!Pros:- The weight selections are sequential from low to high. Some of the no-name brands I was considering had seemingly random weight orders (i.e if you want to go up 5 lbs, rotate 1 clockwise, but for 10 lbs, rotate 2 counterclockwise... which would be confusing and annoying).- The handles, when the dumbbells are docked in their holder, rotate easily but feel solid and click into place for each weight increment. When not docked, there is minimal play and they remain locked into place quite securely. I never feel like I'm holding anything but a normal dumbbell.- Regardless of how many plates you have loaded onto the handles, the dumbbells line up and slide into their base with ease. I haven't had any failed attempts where I had to lift back up and try again. Just good engineering all around.- The handles are smooth while having a nice texture, paradoxically giving a pretty good grip while not tearing up your palms (though I wear gloves for higher weights just because).Cons:- Not really the product's fault, but all adjustable dumbbells tend to be a bit wider than standard dumbbells. I haven't found this to be a huge problem, I just take care not to let them hit each other side-on for fear of breaking them.Other:- I haven't had them long enough to comment on durability, but I will be sure to update the review if there are any problems.

I used to own dumbbells by bowflex and found it awkward and sometimes difficult to make weight adjustments. These are so simple, you just twist the handle. Super high-quality as well. I’m totally pleased.

These adjustable dumbbells have been absolutely fantastic for the week that I've had them! They are very thoughtfully designed and having an actual patent on their design shows that these really do something different than other adjustable dumbbells.A feature I absolutely love about these dumbbells is that the weight adjustment can only be changed when they are racked in their container on the floor. This is ingenious! I never have to worry about the weights accidentally being adjusted while in use which means they won't ever drop plates on my feet or face! Even if they are placed on the floor, they cannot be adjusted unless they are actually placed in their rack.This gives me incredible peace of mind that their weight-adjustment mechanism is robust. I can see how some may find that feature to be cumbersome if they are interested in doing drop-sets or they want to very quickly transition between exercises that require different weight but the added 5 seconds required to adjust the weight really isn't an issue.The mechanism for adjusting the weight setting is very intuitive and takes a respectable amount of force to adjust, clicking meaningfully when the weight dial arrives at the newest setting. The weight plates are distributed evenly across the dumbbell so that at any weight setting the dumbbell's mass is evenly distributed.The dumbbells have small, round, plastic caps on each end that cover a recessed Allen-head bolt. Two of them popped off during the first day of use, but after re-inserting the caps with a small amount of force from my thumb, they have stayed in perfectly since without any issues.I am absolutely in love with these dumbbells! I have avoided adjustable dumbbells in the past because they have tended to be unbalanced and I always had a primal fear that the weights would fall off the dumbbells and hit me in the face when I'm doing dumbbell bench presses. With these dumbbells, I have no such concerns!They are incredibly compact and convenient for anyone who's wanting to build out a home gym or just have some exercise equipment in their home or apartment that has a small footprint and is easy to store in a closet. The listed price is understandably steep for some people, but I sincerely recommend them; they are well worth the price!If I had to make a critique about them, I would have liked the hand grip section to have a rubber mold to provide slightly better grip or, even better, metal with knurling for added grip. The plastic hand grip section works well enough though and even has some textured pattern on it to increase friction. So far, I haven't had any issues with grip or hand slippage during use.

I am really loving these dumbbells. The on a like this I’ve used before are not nearly as nice. With these, you don’t have to click back all the way around to get to the weight you need. It has each weight on there twice, so you don’t have to go back and forth. It’s easy to adjust the weight and easy to use. I feel like they’re not as bulky as other adjustable weights. Overall, no complaints. They work great and are super nice.

I purchased this adjustable dumbbell on September 3rd. Used it fine for 6 weeks. This morning while working out, I picked up one of the dumbells, and noticed some plastic pieces fall to the ground. As soon as I looked down to see what it was, one of the 10 pound weights fell off of the dumbell and landed on my foot. I wasn't using this product in any extreme way, in fact, I was probably using it quite lightly by most standards. Just spend the money and get a better pair. Of course, the return window closed on October 3rd, so I'm just out the money and a co-pay.

My wife likes these much better than the double sized Bowflex ones we have. Even on small weight settings those are just so bulky and these are way more reasonable. I also prefer the weight adjustment on these. just twist the handle on each side and you're set, unlick the Bowflex where you have to make 2 adjustments per weight (4 total for a pair).

I've been using these for a few weeks now and I'm very pleased. Changing weights is super quick and easy. They look nice and seem high quality. They are a bit big compared to non adjustable dumbbells, but that's pretty common. It's great having a full set of dumbbells in the space of 2.

I've been eyeing a set to add to my home gym, but due to price and lack of reviews places I haven't purchased. Let me be your voice of reason and tell you to buy these! The adjustable mechanism will give you peace of mind that they're secure and easy to adjust. The range is perfect for those just getting started and wanting heavier sets, without spending a ton of space-consuming weights. So many pros, I don't know that I honestly can find cons!
