It's packed with facts and figures which can at times make reading tedious. I would have appreciated a more conversational read
Vandana Shiva is a marvelous intellect and environmental hero of our time. The book is focused on India's struggle with industrialism vs. small farming. It's packed with facts and figures which can at times make reading tedious. I would have appreciated a more conversational read as I so enjoy and admire Ms. Shiva's work and have listened to her interviews in rapt amazement.

This is not a woo woo book, this is fundamental knowledge
I am a big fan of Vandana Shiva. She has an unique balance of knowledge, wisdom, clarity and commitment in her message. You can trust the information. And most people who are so deeply involved in world affairs have a degree of cynicism. Dr. Shiva has a clear vision of how to address major problems that face us today and gives her readers the background knowledge to bring them up to speed. A big thinker, a big heart.

largely unsupported, but an interesting read
This is a quick read, due mainly to the fact that it is based on the author's personal experience, opinion, an anecdotes, rather than being the investigative journalism exploration I had hoped it would be.

Making peace with the Earth
Great book, assembling many of my own thoughts. It is interesting because through Vandana's eyes and particularly what she writes about land grabbing and the dishonesty and complete disregard by corporations and their abettors (our governments) of the well-being and livelihoods of both humans and all other species, I am able to look back to what has gone on in Europe where all of this is already firmly in place.

The book written in the Indian context. Nevertheless, it could be used as a collection of case studies when it comes to fighting for the justice for the underpriviledged and the sustainability of the planet.

I bought this book as a present for my wife, she just loves it, and I am waiting for her to finish, so I can read it.
