Item is not quite what is listed/shown.
This listing is confusing, to say the least. The pictures show a 4-connector ("TRRS") plug, which is what you'd expect with a stereo output and a microphone input via one plug (L and R out via the rings, mic in via the tip with a common ground via the sleeve). The title clearly indicates that it is an "audio jack with microphone" but it then also says that it is "TRS" - which is the normal 3.5 mm connector for a stereo output connector without microphone (L and R via ring and tip). What actually arrived is a USB sound card with a TRS (stereo out) plug - different from the pictures. Testing showed that although the USB sound card chip in the cord does indeed have a microphone input recognized by the computer drivers, there is no wire to the plug to be able to use it! It's stereo output only. If you need to feed audio out to an amplified speaker with a TRS 3.5 mm input, it will work OK. Just don't expect it to work with a microphone.

Works well
There isn't a lot of noise with this connection. You plug it in and it works. I love it when that happens. The braided cord is short and sturdy and I can see it lasting quite a while. Not a bad price either.
