Paper Mate Dual Ended Colored Pencils, Assorted Colors, Pre Sharpened, 24 Count

I ordered the 24 count set. The package states 46 colors. My question was are they not counting black and white or is there a duplicate pencil. I still do not know. My set has 4 red and blue combo pencils in it but I donotthink there are duplicates. Some colors are close but slightly different. I like that there is not a lot of greens and browns in the mix. I also like the triangle shape so they don't roll. It is a little harder to sharpen with the triangle shape. (Using manual hand sharpener)The barrels of the pencil are close to the expected colors. The dual tips save room on my coloring table as a bonus.Update: 7/31/17. These pencils have very soft leads. I happen to like softer leads for some colors because I think you get brighter colors. I have been using several of the yellows today. Great Bright Colors!Also want to pass on a fun bonus for double pointed pencils. I decided today I would choose one color for the pencil but use both colors before changing pencils. I have been coloring in a Patterns book so now have some interesting color combos. It is a good way to step out of the box with color combo " rules" in your head. Enjoy!

No color names on the pencils, but Paper Mate sent me a list. The list on this webpage is not accurate.The colors are: Red/Blue (x2), Hot Pink/Purple, Blush/Lt. Blue, Brown/Black, Yellow/Green, VanDyke Brown/Warm Grey, Violet/Carmine, Chrome Yellow/Magenta, Vermilion (listed as Scarlet, it's not)/Ultramarine, Jade (which is more of an Aqua instead of an Olive)/Burnt Ochre, Dark Chocolate/Brilliant Blue, Lemon Yellow/Brick Red, Moss Green/Sienna, Cream/Grass Green, Stone Grey/Blue Grass, White/Viridian, Lt. Ochre/Cobalt Blue, Pink/Cerulean Blue, Sand/Red Brown, Lilac/Emerald, Sepia/Stormy (looks like Slate Blue), Orange/Yellow Green.We have the single-ended 15 ct and 24 ct sets, also, for which Paper Mate sent lists, and photos. First, I matched those sets to their lists, then matched the double-ended set.

These are nice colored pencils with good coverage and nice intense pigment. They sharpen well and the lay down is smooth. They come from the same makers as Prismacolor Premier pencils, but cost much less. The fact that they are dual ended with a different color on each end means you get 12 pencils with 24 colors. I like that because the pencils take up very little space so I'm able to travel with these in a small container in my backpack with a little travel coloring book, and including a small sharpener & blending pencil + an eraser, all this takes up almost no space in my backpack. I like to bike to the park and color in the shade of the big trees and listen to my i-pod. These pencils are perfect traveling companions!

All the best color collection paired perfectly. My only complaint is that I can't order just one or two of my favorites that are already worn down considerably. All the shades are nice ones and I wish these came in bigger quantities for a larger variety of color . They are just right for coloring.

Bought these for my son. He likes them. They are triangular so they don't roll. That's a plus

Love these double ended pencils I have a pack myself, I purchased these to go along with a color book as a gift for a sick friend.

My favorite ever pencils. For the casual colorer, these are super handy to carry as they have two colors on each pencil. They sharpen easily (without losing chunks of colored “lead” like other pencils) and show up great on paper.
