8816 Western Red Cedar Mulch, 4.5 Cubic Feet

I'm sad I can't order more! Amazon has a note saying they don't know when it will be in stock again. I used this as mulch around my patio to help cut down on bugs - mostly mosquitoes and fleas. I live in South Florida where both are bad. It's helping, looks great, and smells great. All I can find now are cedar chips for animal cages and I'm worried this would get blown around and make a mess. The bale I received had nice big chunks of mulch. It was really heavy but this was because they compacted a lot of material into this block. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to try more natural ways to discourage bugs - while it doesn't kill everything - it doesn't kill everything ;-) leaving things for the birds and the lizards to eat.

The color of this mulch is fabulous, but nowhere near the amount listed at 4.5 cu. It only handled one small area of my home, where as 2.0 cu bags have covered larger areas. very very very small for the price.

They really need to change the description. Clearly this can't be 4.5 cu feet, because that is a massive pile of mulch, but I bought it hoping it would be "a lot." Eh, it's a couple of bags' worth. Covers about 4 SQUARE feet. The quality is nice, but overpriced for what you get I think. And it annoys me that the description is misleading.

This is very nice mulch, but the brand Wal*Mart sells for $3.19 is just as good. The bales are equivalent to a little over 2 bags of the Wal*Mart mulch.

looks great but wasn't much for what you pay

Way too pricey but it looks great and I don't have to wrestle it home, loading and unloading...the UPS guy does it for me! The flower beds have never looked better and it smells good too.

It seemed while still bundled it would be a bigger amount. Turns out not so much n it is more hay looking and hard to break up...

Mud as tight as rock not able to break down easily by hand. Probably for commercial use, not my little backyard! But like the fragrance.
