Everyday a Recipes Presented In A Gorgeous Cookbook
To begin with, this is a gorgeous book, and when you open it up, we find beautiful photos and even better recipes. These are recipes that can be made everyday. The recipes are organized by month and day, with remarks on how the recipe was developed. Sometimes it feels like the authors are old friends, and we are in the middle of conversations.One big warning, do not start to read this cookbook if you are hungry. Yes, I said read the cookbook, which is how any good cookbook should be looked at. I start at the beginning where most authors give us theirreasons for writing the book. This opens their world for us to see their personality and gives us warnings on how to read the cookbook. Organization is important to me, and I liked that the recipes here are organized by month and day. I went directly to the winter section to ascertain my first recipe. These are the kinds of recipes that excite me, foods that I might have handy and would not have to run to the market.I had not read the authors blog, in fact did not know the authors at all. This book was recommended to me. I will follow the authors, and peruse this cookbook at a more leisurely pace.Recommended. prisrob 01-07-18

Arrived in mint condition I got the wow factor when I opened the package no kidding. A perfect book as far as the book itself. The content Is just as great.I am so happy with this addition to my collection

Lots of great recipes
I am impressed! Any time I've ordered a cook book online I've found it contained far too many recipes I wouldn't make. This book broke that pattern! It's a beautiful book, and contains good, practical recipes that most people would make. Don't get me wrong, it has some things in it that the average cook wouldn't touch - but not too many.Recipes include:Baking powder biscuitsStrawberry pavlovaLobster capelliniGinger-chicken soupFallen chocolate soufflé cakeBelliniCoffee ice creamLasagne bologneseAll told this book contains fabulous recipes, beautiful photos, and practical recipes. Added bonus: lots of tips and tricks! This cook book would be a welcome addition to any kitchen.

A gift. Daughter happy, me happy, too.
I got my daughter a copy of Canal House Cooks Every Day . What the heck - she had it on her wish list.I read through the table of contents, and checked a few recipes. I'm getting one for me.This book is a collection drawn from the 6 smaller Canal House books. Recipes are clustered around seasonal themes and fresh ingredients. Nice illustrations. (A hardbound cookbook looks nice, but will it last?)My daughter really likes the book. She's made a few meals from it already. Her comments are that the instructions are pretty well complete - no advanced skills needed - and the prep/cook times are very accurate.

A collection of carefully crafted elegant recipes that work
As a subscriber to Canal House, I knew this book was on my list of "have to have." Melissa and Christopher have created a book of beautiful , not overly complicated recipes that are not too difficult to reproduce and give stunning results. I love their recipe for spaghetti with raw tomatoes; it makes me feel like I'm in a Roman trattoria which is like saying it makes me feel I'm in heaven. The photography is exquisite ; Christopher is the photographer and Melissa , the artist. I would buy Melissa's drawings and hang them all over my kitchen. Even Christopher kimball recommended this book!

Beautifully produced book with a great repertoire of recipes
I liked the division of recipes into four seasons and then further into the months in each season. The recipes, as promised, were not production pieces and many were new to me. I also found that the quality of the photographs made me feel like cooking.

Es un placer de tocarlo con una tapa de terciopelo, papel de calidad y fotos preciosos. Está escrito en ingles. Volveré de comprar de esa editorial (Andrews McMeel); desde luego tengo dos libros mas de esa editorial ambos son de nom nom paleo.

Incredible book!
Absolutely beautiful, seasonal recipes that you will want to make. Recipes for all different levels of cooks. Try the Pork Salmoriglio, I literally had people in tears at my dinner party.
