Works great with my older Pioneer Mini-Split but only displays temp in Celsius
I put two new triple-A batteries (not included) in the remote and aimed it at my Pioneer Mini spit, and it works great. It has more buttons and features than my original remote, but my unit is about 7-8 years old and doesn't have all of the features of the newer models. This does not cause any issues, and the remote still functions for everything my unit has.The only negative I will point out, and this is mentioned in the description so I will not deduct anything from my review because of this, but... The remote only displays in Celsius and can not be switched to Fahrenheit. This is not ideal for us silly Americans who refuse to get on board with the rest of the world, but I digress. 😁👍

Works well with Midea U-shaped AC. FYI - only displays Celsius NOT Fahrenheit
I got this to use with my Midea U-shaped AC. The AC unit always reads 10 degrees higher than the actual temp. This remote has a button labeled "Follow Me", which when enabled, uses the temp reading on the remote to control the AC unit, not the thermostat in the AC unit itself. I hoped this would result in the unit cooling the room to the actual set point instead of shutting off too soon because it thought the set temp had been reached. I got mixed results with this remote.While it does get the AC unit to a lower temp before shutting off, it still reads 3-4 degrees high. You have to set the temp on the remote around 4 degrees lower to hit the temp you desire. That is much better than the 10 degree difference if using the thermostat on the unit.You also have to keep in mind this remote ONLY displays the temp in Celsius. It CANNOT be changed to display the temp in Fahrenheit. It actually says that in the description, but I missed it when ordering. It's not a big deal, but you need to be able to make the conversion in your head, or print a chart showing the conversion like I did.The price is very reasonable for a replacement remote, but be aware it does not have all the settings the original remote that came with the unit has. Luckily, you can just use both remotes simultaneously so it is not a problem.
