Awesome book...lots of processes that are still valid today

It's a old book...this one replaced the one that I loaned or lost in moving. I believe in "breathing" as a method of achieving a state of stillness whether while conscious or in meditative states. This book is highly explanatory about breathing...and the rebirthing breath oxygenates the body quickly and fully. It is a breath alikened onto hyperventilation yet for me, it doesn't give me that "buzz" that it did in the introduction of it since I use it almost everyday.I am using the breath along with herbs from John of God (Healer in Brazil...look in browser for more information) to assist in self healing from fibromyalgia which unfortunately I have accepted as a state of illness even though I know better than to do so...geesh!This book is a joy for me to reread.

Book was ok, written a long time ago, so it's not reality today. Can;t comment on Sondra, but Leanord Orr's rebirthing program is not as described in book. After reading the book I realized I did not receive 1 quality rebirthing session from any of Leanord's "highly trained rebirhters". Leonard & anyone I met through him was very negative. I went to one of his seminar's it was very unprofessional. Leonard did not have the qualities I look for in a spiritual leader. He does not follow the teachings of Truth, Simplicity & Love and Karma Yoga. He is very mean & nasty. He bad mouthed rebirhters during one of his talks and did the same thing to his wife. I was new to rebirhting when I went to the seminar and the other attendies ridiculed me and made fun of me. Not a seminar or group I want to be a part of. Connected breathing can be very healing...would find someone else to practice with, or just do it on my own. I beleive Sondra and Leonard are not even affiliated anymore. Leanord himself even says his certifiaction process is a joke. Wonder what it would be like to have a rebirthing session with one of Sondra's trained rebirhters???

I've always been sceptical about books with these types of titles BUT if you want to know what actually happens at birth and how it affects your life read this book. It's a must and I wish there were more books around like this one.

Found this book was expensive and totally failed to come to a point. I decided to give up rebirthing as a goal as a result of reading it...

Just received it. I had already done some holotropic breathwork, which is kind of the same. I got inspired to do a rebirthing, a session longer than I've ever done. I've gone so deep I did not know this could lead in those places, and I feel I just scratched the surface of the potential of this practice.I tho consider that it takes a certain degree of conscious maturity. A willingness to face emotionnal and spiritual struggles. Don't go for this if you have the idea that this is a magic pill, this is a conscious toll to lead you in deep states of beings consciously and to face your fears and energetical knots that are in you. I don't mean to make you afraid either, I invite everyone to do it. If you're uncertain, there are facilitators and rebirthers where you can do your first sessions. You can also search for other simillar breath such as holotropic breathwork. Be blessed :)
