This is a fantastic series for 6th through young adult. I read them all to my kid, and re-read them at least once a year.Archetypal plot structure, classic fantasy themes, and strong (if a bit two dimensional) characters lead to an easy, fun read. A good coming-of-age story, with a great magic system.I understand that today some criticize this series because the characteristics of the different kingdoms of the world are so strongly stated (e.g. Murgos are spies, Chereks hairy warriors, Tol'Nedrans are greedy) that some worry it will turn kids racist (i.e. you can tell who someone is by where they come from, etc.) My response to this is: Don't these people have better things to do? It's a fun, harmless story. Enjoy.

I read The Belgariad when I was a teenager and loved every book. Ordered this set to read it again and add to my collection now that I'm an adult who knows how to properly care for books. :) The 5-book set arrived together in clear plastic, tightly wrapped to prevent any movement. All books are brand new and in mint condition, just as I remember them. Highly recommended. Good job to the seller for their shipping.

The only way up from The Eddings' series is with Tolkien!

If you enjoy fantasy series with extended worlds you will enjoy The Belgariad series. One of the first series I read as a kid and I keep coming back to it. One of my favorites, you won’t regret it.

I bought this series in high school and really loved it. It is great and I think I actually like the cover art better. but if you want first editions sorry this is not it.

Ordered these as a gift for my mom who LOVES this series. The seller emailed to say that there are tiny little marks from sitting on a shelf and they wanted to know if I still wanted them since it was marked as a gift. I agreed and wondered how exactly bad it was but couldn't find these anywhere else so this was pretty much the only option. Turns out they are perfect, better then plenty of books from stores I've gone out and shopped in. I found it very considerate that they had let me know the condition anyway. I'd buy more from them.

One of the best series I have ever read and so happy that I now have this series for life, I will continue to read this over and over again. This is how enjoyable this series is, so for those fantasy worms out there do not and I mean DON NOT go pass this series ever.

Good series. Got into it right after Robert Jordan's Dragon Reborn so the adjustment to Eddings style took a bit but well written story.
