This light seems as though it will last... Very solid and the connectors seem a significant improvement over others i have used. One thing of note is that the light has a well-defined circle of light when shown on a wall; my other halogens have no defined circle. The circle is fine for me because i am spot lighting a fountain. Shown in the trees perhaps the circle of light would be less defined. All in all i am very pleased. Plus i had too many lights on my transformer, the low wattage of this light takes care of that. The brightness of this light is less than 50 watts. In the future i will use LEDs where possible to save on $.Update: 2014-01-04 - Light continues to work perfectlyUpdate: 2014-03-10 - I am redoing all my landscape lights(14+) with this and the 3watt version. I chose this light because the one i already have has been very good; far better than big-box lights. I have installed 5 so far- They look great. Amazingly, where i had 725 watts of power supply, i will now need only 125 watts. In the landscaping the 'well defined circle of light' does not show. In most cases this 8watt light will be a better fit than the 3watt light. The three watt light is for very small areas. Note that the spike on this light is pvc, not aluminum- PVC is a plus because all my aluminum spikes have disentigrated due to corrosion/electrolsis.

I got four lights; initially I was happy but not after one year. In general they have sturdy aluminum frame "except the plastic spike", color 3500-4000 K yellowish-white, and enough power to light 15' tree or house wall. After around 11 months from the install one of the lights failed. Since it was within one year of purchase I contacted Paradise and immediately sent me a replacement. Since then another 3 lights failed. I did not contact paradise and opted to purchase a different product paradise GL22720BK & GL33760BK. The later you can replace the Halgen with Led lights and have metal spikes.I still purchase from paradise mostly excellent products and excellent customer serviceSo in summary:Pro:Sturdy, good color, strong light, EXCELLENT customer serviceCons:Can not change Led bulbun-acceptable / very short life span

The picture on the website looks like it has a aluminum spike to anchor it into the ground. It's actually made of plastic and easily snaps when trying to secure the light into the ground.

The steaks will break, and there is no perfect replacement for them. I was able to make the Sea Gull brand replacement steak work. See my review there for details.Other than the cheap plastic steak, it's a good light. It's lasted close to 2 years now.

Please see my pictures (in customer's images) to do a compare and contrast of my house with and without the Paradise GL33762BK installed. Overall, I am very happy. The unit is very well made and seems to be very high quality. I gave this product 4 stars due to the discrepancies and Cons I am mentioning below.Discrepancies from Amazon's discriptions/stock photos:-This unit has two LED bulbs and not one-The stake is a different design (it has fins and not holes)-the stake is plastic and not metalPro-Bright. color is between 3000-4000K (ie warm, yellow, etc)-Metal construction-Affordable when compare to other brand/model-Made for the outdoor and is relatively weatherproof (has rubber gaskets/seal and drain holes)-Excellent packaging and manual/instructions-glass lense and not plasticCons:-Made in China-Due to the drain hole not being flush with the glass lense, the light Fixture will not completly drain if the lights are at 90 degree. Some of my light fixture had moisture and condensation which is indicative of the unit not being air tight.-The wire/cable can be a few inches longer-You can't replace the LED bulb/housing if it gets damageUPDATE: 15OCT20128x out of my 12x lights died for some unknown reason. The bulbs were black and obviously burned out. I have contacted customer service for a warranty exchange in accordance with their warranty program. I will let you guys know whether I am successful or not in getting a warranty repair/exchange. The LED bulbs not being replaceable is making maitenance/repair very diffcult right now.UPDATE: 1DEC12I finally got my floodlight replacements. The company really stands by its "lifetime" warranty and I recommend this company and product to anyone

Going to buy some more! I like the light it produces on my shrubs and trees. Easy to hook up and works great!

I bought a set of these lights for my front year because I got tired of chasing issues with non-LED units. These installed fine and looked great while they lasted. When I bought mine, I bought a set of three for the front of my house plus two spares that I was going to use in the back. After about a year I had to use one of the spares to replace one unit in the front yard that had already died. Shortly thereafter a second unit died so there went another spare. I've opened the dead units up and all appears to be fine, I suspect it's the small PC board inside that's going bad. Possible cold solder joints or expansion/contraction issues as the units cycle through a hot summer then a freezing winter.I've very disappointed in these units, I had high hopes since they are LED and the cast aluminum bodys are thoughtfully engineered and have multiple drainage holes for moisture. Unfortunately, they don't last and I don't see replacement parts available.Another short lived lighting fixture.
