Kids loved them
I'll be honest to me these are very overprotective hard crunchy sweets. My kids however LOVED them.

So weird, but tasty!
This was my first try of freeze dried sweets so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I really liked them though, even if they were a very odd consistency and not what I was expecting at all! They feel like they’re going to be crunchy but they’re very light and almost melt once you bite a bit off. They’re very sweet, almost sweeter than I think they would normally be. I would recommend biting or breaking bits off it and no eating a whole one in a bite. It’s a bit overwhelming if you try but also quite difficult owing to the fact the wrappers are still on them. Some come straight off, others you do have to break the sweets up a bit to properly get the wrappers off. This is the only reason I downgraded by a star, because it was a bit messy and annoying.

Shame the wrappers are still on, and very expensive for what you get
These Much-o-licious freeze dried starburst actually contain flavours which we don't get in the UK, namely the FaveReds which include cherry (which is my favourite in this pack). At the time of review they are priced at £8.95 for 150grams which I think is quite expensive given the only processing is to freeze dry some packs of starburst without even taking the wrapper off.I can see why they haven't, as it would make it impossible to tell what the flavours are without trying them, but then having to try and remove a wrapper which is encased within the sweet is a lot worse than trying to guess the flavour. Each one is a unique size and shape, but some appear to have been packed too closely together when processing, so the flavours have merged somewhat, which also means discolouration (purple with orange bits on doesn't look that appealing to me).The main questions are: Are they better then normal Starburst? Are they value for money? Are they better, well I personally don't think they are, yes there is some enhancement of flavour, but it's not consistent because of where the sweets have merged. Some are also a lot harder than others, and the wrappers are just pure inconvenience, not necessary in my opinionAre they value for money? For me no. Given you can get a 4 pack of normal starburst from most supermarkets for around £2 which would be the same in contents of this pack, then to cost 350% more for less convenience isn't really value for money to me.Certainly worth a try and I suspect they will be great to add some sparkle to smoothies, but overpriced and inconvenient for me I'm afraid.
