This toy exceeded my expectations. I purchased it for my grandson for his 6th birthday, he is obsessed with construction equipment, and he loved it! I was actually surprised how well it held up and how long the battery lasted. I also purchased a bag of small rocks from the dollar store so he could pick them up with the excavator and dump them into his dump truck.

Absolutely the coolest gift for a 4 year old I even enjoyed playing with it when I was teaching him the controls, nd the cool steam is a huge plus and love the water doesn't spill out or get everywhere ... If you have a child who loves excavators buy this you won't be disappointed

I was very surprised at how realistic it looked and it worked very good at first it lo. The only problem I have is that although putting brand new batteries in the remote, it only work for a short period of time and also the rechargeable batteries don’t have a very long life so you have to keep switching them out.

Wow, not only does my 5 year old love this remote controlled excavator, but all of his brothers and cousins wanted a turn to play with it! All the boys got remote controlled cars and trucks, which they played with, but this cool excavator was the hit that day.This RC toy is built pretty tough, and comes with rechargeable batteries for the Excavator. However, the remote control does not come with batteries, so you will need to buy two triple-A batteries for it. I don't know why they can't make the remote also rechargeable, so maybe in the furture they will start doing that.I looked on this company's page, and discovered that they make other remote control heavy equipment toys, so I am going to order some of those for the kids also. Anything that keeps the kids busy outside is a million times better than them glued to a video game.Over all, I give this high marks. It's built well, gives many hours of fun, and is seriously a really cool toy.

Every year around the holidays I purchase some toys for when the kids in our family come to visit. They get bored here because the grown ups are talking and they have nothing to do, so I try to have some toys and a place for them to play.This is a great toy for expanding the imagination and what kid doesn't love playing in the dirt?When I was growing up, my dad would have small truckload of dirt delivered in the yard for my brothers. They would play for hours building roads for their toy cars and trucks, and playing with their green plastic army men, and that pile of dirt keep them and several of their friends entertained all summer. Well, we didn't have remote cars then either, much less remote dirt diggers like this well-made, extremely detailed 'toy'. And neither of my brothers are in the construction business today, they just had an amazing childhood playing and imagining.I think any parent could be happy to give this to their kids, whether they look to construction as a career or not. Letting they play and explore the world around them is developing their young minds.This is beautifully made, not cheap, and the digger's bucket is made with real metal. I didn't start it up, as that will be part of the fun for the young ones when they come this Thanksgiving, but I will say that this is quite impressive, and that the company offers other construction vehicles as well.A perfect holiday gift. It even includes the batteries for the remote.It arrived quickly and is accurately described by the seller.

I gave this item to a 6 year old boy. It is a nice excavator and it actually functions. It will hopefully provide many hours of enjoyment. R/C toys have certainly come a long way!
