Frigidaire FFPA1422U1 Portable Air Conditioner for Rooms up to 700-sq. ft, 14,000 BTU, Black

First off, if you’re looking for a quiet machine, this is not it. But the performance beats any portable air conditioner that I’ve tried (and I’ve tried a lot) that I don’t even care about the noise. It cools flawlessly. I have it in my first floor living room and it cools my entire 750 sq ft area in no time. Super easy to empty and only have to empty about once every 2 weeks. Simple assembly and seriously it’s SO cold. I’m in love and this was worth every penny. Been using all summer and it never fails to impress me.

Bought in July, have been using on hot days since, fan is a great feature for us when we want to cold air to blow into the room from outside. Electric bill came out to what we expected with our mindfulness to not keep it on every day all day or at 75 degrees when able.Only con is that after the few months of having, when the ac turns off and on to regulate the temperature, there is a very notable noise as it does so it’s very noticeable.

I really like this air conditioner. It works well, cools the house considerably. The noise level isn’t a problem for me but could be for some. The exhaust kit is poorly made, the piece that sits in the window, holding the vented air does not have anyway to secure into window. I ended up just taping around it to make it stay. This shouldn’t be an issue for a >500$ purchase

I'm happy with the air conditioner's performance. The engineering design could have been better thought through. Given that the unit sits on the floor and vents through the window, the exhaust port should have been placed toward the top of the unit and not the bottom (to reduce the angle of the exhaust hose from unit to window).The disappointing element was the window kit. I have a right-to-left side opening window. The kit only properly fits a side window that opens left-to-right. I phoned customer support to request a correct kit, but learned they only have what I received. Searching Amazon, I did find independent manufacturers selling window kits, but in the end I found a way to adapt the original kit. So that was doable but annoying.

I've had the unit for about a month. It cools as advertised - 700 sq feet is not quite there but it will cool a large room. Controls are easy to use. I have not had to drain any water - it seems to evaporate it through the exhaust hose just fine. There are no leaks

The photos show both a black and a white unit. The description states that the unit is white, however, a black unit arrived and does not match anything in the room where it was intended. The window vent kit is hardly useable. The hose fell out of the end of the window vent plate and pumped hot air into my apartment all night last night, so I'll have to purchase a new window kit before I can trust using it again. It's too big and bulky to try to send back so I guess I'm stick with this.

Works great and keeps our house cool. Runs very quiet. He only thing is you need a tub to keep the water draining into and empty it frequently. It’s somewhat of a pain but it works great to keep your house cool.

Bought this for our apartment and it works fantastically!! In the 100+ degree days it keeps it livable but by no means cool, it can’t keep up with the really hot humid days but a regular summer day it’s awesome

Works well. Cools most of my upstairs level. Only thing missing is a tank for water collection- I don’t have anywhere close to drain by a hose.

Can't say anything bad. Keeps my apartment nice and cool.

We bought this when, after finishing our basement and adding a dehumidifier, the basement was no longer the cool refuge in what turned out to be our most hot and humid summer ever. It worked very well to quickly cool down the 600 square foot basement room. However we had to alternate between the ac and the dehumidifier every few hours because the ac doesn't lower the humidity, while the dehumidifier heats up the room.I also needed to use it in my upstairs office where I work from home several days a week. But this unit is very heavy and awkward to get up and down the stairs. Next year we may buy a 2nd one to avoid that. Also, while the window adapter worked fine in the basement horizontal slider window, I had to rig up an adapter out of masonite to use it in the upstairs casement (vertically hinged crank-out) window.

Works excellent cooled our house down from 80 degrees to 74 in a couple of hours feels awesome
